It is. It is very, very bad. But it works like “racism”. Just as it is impossible for a “protected class” to be racist, sexist, homophobic, or whatever -ist you care to mention, it is impossible for them to appropriate Western European culture. A black actress playing a queen of France is daring, progressive, and admirable, a white woman cooking Mexican food at her restaurant is racist cultural appropriation.
