Illegal Immigrants Distort Congressional Representation and Federal Programs

Most Americans know that their representation in the U.S. House of Representatives is based on proportional representation as determined by the decennial Census. And, many Americans are aware that the Census takers try to count everybody residing in the country. But, most Americans do not make the connection that illegal immigrants and other foreigners who are not legal permanent residents are part of the calculation for the apportionment of Congressional representatives....

As may be seen from the reallocation of seats based on the distribution of U.S. citizens, the states with the largest illegal and resident nonimmigrant populations currently gain influence in the law making process as a result of the current distribution of congressional seats. The perverse effect of this current apportionment process is that it encourages states to accommodate the presence of persons who constitute a major fiscal burden on their citizenry.

If the seats in the House of Representative were reapportioned based on the distribution of U.S. citizens, the big loser of seats would be California, losing 6 seats. Three other states with large immigrant populations both legal and illegal would also lose one seat each, i.e., Texas, New York and Florida. The winners in this reallocation of congressional representation would be the residents of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Those states each would gain one additional representative.

I think the media sends the message that illegal immigrants do no harm, and we should just stop being meanies and just accept them.

But if you peel back the layers, you find all kinds of damage being done because of our lack of border security. For those with open eyes, it’s a really huge problem.

You are right of course. Since we no longer have a working law enforcement system that doesn’t even care about an ongoing attempt to overthrow the government, there is no chance.

One way to defeat this nonsense would be to proportion congressional districts by social security numbers. Every citizen gets a SS# at birth. Illegal migrants don’t has SS#s or at least they shouldn’t have one without documentation.

It’s orders of magnitude worse than no deterrent. There are large rewards: more seats in congress and more federal money.

We were living in a Hispanic area when Obama conducted “his” census. Different Census takers came around to the same households three times. Always wondered if the numbers were fudged because of this lack of communication and incompetence.

This is an article from 2007 discussing the 2000 census. I would be interested to see updated calculations re the effect of the 2010 census. Based on the article, I’m guessing that California would lose another 6-10 seats IF the apportionment were made on US citizenship and not including illegals.

What happens when 100 or more show up on the list with identical SSN's? They do in fact perform identity theft on a regular basis. How do you think they take these otherwise legitimate jobs from Americans? They produce documents just like the rest of US have to produce. You can't as an employer discriminate if the potential hire produces the documents, one of which BTW is a SS Card. If we raid one of these companies the proof is right there in the personnel files. That is why we don't hear much in the way of prosecution of these company managers and officers, their paperwork IS in order.

Thank you for referencing that article 11th_VA.

The seemingly “hidden” footnote for the referenced pre-Obama era article is a mention of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (14A). Section 2 is a penalty for renegade states who allow aliens to vote for the purpose of swing elections.

"Footnotes and endnotes

Section 2 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution provides, “Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state, excluding Indians not taxed.” Section 1 of the same Amendment provides, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.” The order of these two Sections implies that the persons upon whom apportionment is to be made are persons born or naturalized in the United States."

Apportionment of representation in House of Representatives

Note that voting rights amendments ratified after 14A effectively change how the express voting eligibility criteria of Section 2 is to be interpreted imo.

Regarding activist judges who are deciding against state voter ID, in addition to Section 2 of 14A, patriots should also consider that the congressional record shows the following material which likewise supports voter ID.

Note that post-Civil War federal lawmakers had pointed out not only that only citizens have the right to vote, but when a renegade state lets undocumented Democrats (my wording) vote for the purpose of trying to swing elections as previously mentioned, the state is also effectively wrongly nullifying the Constitution’s “uniform Rule of Naturalization” clause (1.8.4).

I’m not sure of chronological order, but the above excerpts from congressional record probably supported the inclusion of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment.

Regarding voter ID-supporting states, patriots need to do the following.

Patriots need to support PDJT in working with the states to respect Sec. 2 of the 14th Amendment. All states need to make sure that only people who present valid citizenship / photo ID cards will be allowed to vote in federal elections. Such cards need to be made scannable to facilitate Democratic ballot box officials with “poor” eyesight.

Patriots likewise need to support PDJT in working with the states to respect the 12th Amendment. Doing so would put a stop to unconstitutional state "winner take all" laws for electoral votes.
