NO. May’s attempt to water down, manipulate, and change Brexit to appease the EU has failed.

Brexit LIVES.

I thought it meant watered down Brexit is dead. Actual Original Brexit is now the plan. Hard to say.

Since May had watered down the agreement and made it essentially useless...I see it as a good thing.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the Irish Backstop?

Rather than put in a hard border at the Ireland/Northern Ireland frontier, which many on both sides think might lead to a resumption of The Troubles, the Irish Backstop would leave Northern Ireland in the EU customs union and put the customs enforcement between them and the Island of Britain proper.

Complicating things are the Democratic Unionist Party, Northern Ireland Protestants who May needs in her governing coalition in order to keep the majority. They're opposed to a hard border, but also to the Irish backstop.

BTW New Zealanders cant afford to buy their own lamb/mutton to eat...

Most lamb produces are sent to Europe because England is part of the EU and NZ is a British Commonwealth country...

all along NZ has sent lamb and butter etc to England (especially during WWII which caused rationing in NZ) and it didn’t effect the price of lamb at home...but now so much is sent to Europe where they enjoy good prices that the shortages in NZ cause the price to be $28 a pound...yes Ive seen the prices in the lower cost supermarkets there..

Now the NZers eat more chicken and beef than lamb even though there are millions of sheep in the NZ fields...

The old staple Christmas Day spring lamb dinner is gone ...many NZers had BBQ with chicken, beef, or port instead this past Christmas...

Note this past December I brought a leg of lamb for $4.99 at my local TN Food Lion...

“My greatest fear is that May’s incompetence leads to irresistible pressure for a new election that puts Jeremy Corbyn in power. This would be a world-historical catastrophe.”

How so? To me it’s simply the color of the $hit running the place.

I think they are leaving the EU but with no deal for the transition.

That is what I heard.

The vote was for May's deal.

Her deal got voted down.

New deal or hard exit is what is left.

.

My greatest fear is that May’s incompetence leads to irresistible pressure for a new election that puts Jeremy Corbyn in power. This would be a world-historical catastrophe.

My prediction is Britain will stay wobbly until they achieve a political majority of Muslims in place. Then the Muslims will rise up in an un-civil war and all the weak Brtis will be slaughtered so the Muslims can live peacefully under Allah.

May will lose the No Confidence Vote.

There will be new elections.

If Labour wins, the plug will be pulled in Brexit.

Doubtful given the lopsidedness of the vote, right? The Irish aren’t going no matter what.

I think this means Original Recipe Brexit - the UK bounces and that’s that. May was selling Crispy Brexit - UK is a slave state to Germany.

Nobody wanted Crispy.

In April 2018 I took a train from Belfast IN northern Ireland (UK) to Dublin in the “Republic of Ireland” there was no border as far as even having to show my passport...

The only difference was the use of Euros instead of English Pound Sterling because the Republic of Ireland is part of the EU...

Do the people at the Guardian speak English? It was a margin not a majority.

You know? These stories obfuscate what is going on with jagonistic political BS that is amazing to me. What is apparent to me that as the Democrats and Rinos want to do with Trumps election by the people, the one worlders in Britain want to negate the absolute resounding withdrawal from the EU passed by the people!! NO MORE GLOBALISM!! It is about NATIONALISM!! I see violence if these people are ignored!! No need for a redo election!! It was 48% to 52% to get out!! It is over.Get the HELL out of the EU. Close the damned borders!! Restore British Sovereignty and Culture and quit writing this propaganda like it tells us anything.
