In the 1980s, then-President Ronald Reagan approved funding for a space-based missile defense concept that was nicknamed Star Wars by critics, after the famous movie franchise.
Derided by critics as too expensive and Democrats as unnecessarily provocative towards the Soviet Union, the concept, formally called the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and announced by Reagan in 1983, envisioned a space-based defense network capable of intercepting ICBMs well before they reached their targets.
This is imperative and important. No need for China and Russia to get the upperhand on defense.
1) Democrats: "It will never work! It's like hitting a bullet with a bullet! It's impossible!"
First Test: successful
2) Democrats: "Oh, sure! You did it once! You can't do it twice!"
Continued testing: successful
3) Democrats: "It's too expensive."
Bottomline: They hate this country and want someone -- anyone -- to destroy us.
Our adversaries in the world are poised to surpass us in control of space and in advanced missiles (some might argue that they already have in the case of the latter). Trump intends to reverse that for both situations, but you know the democrats will fight tooth and nail. To them, leaving us exposed and vulnerable is preferable to giving Trump a victory.
Go POTUS!
It’s an understatement to say that enemies having an upper hand in space with weapons poised above to strike down at will is a very serious threat.
Build the Wall FIRST.
What’s to say Trump isn’t already going to do that first? Besides, we need to find a way around the Democrats’ collective tantrum to build it.
