I would also add Europe (all of it) was all influenced by Christendom and the culture that it allowed to grow.

I wonder about the supposed differences between European countries on that map (and in lists of average IQ scores for different countries) given that European DNA doesn’t vary significantly from one country to the next. Are Latvians really so much more intelligent than Lithuanians? Italians than French? English than Irish? The ancient Greeks produced many geniuses—are modern Greeks less intelligent than Western Europeans? Are the IQ results from different countries really comparable?

Watson (and Crick), along with others, made very important discoveries that have been used by others to better understand how living organisms function. I think it goes back farther than that. To the Greco-Roman culture that predates Christianity. I believe western cultures dominance is because of our Greco-Roman, Judeo-Christian, and enlightenment heritage. Take away any of those and we would not be where we are at.

I read something years ago that stated that African-Americans had higher average levels of testosterone than white Americans. Have not been able to find that article, or anything relating to the topic, since then. But if true it could explain the better athletic ability, and higher levels of violence, in that group.
