We are the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.
The Democratic Party must nominate a candidate who will put fighting climate change at the top of the agenda. And thats why Im seriously considering running for president.
The science is clear. We have a short period of time to act. And whether we shrink from this challenge, or rise to it, is the biggest question we face, as a nation and as a people.
It is also our chance to realize the greatest economic opportunity of this century: to create millions of good-paying jobs building a future run on clean energy.
The reason I believe we are going to succeed in this - the reason Im optimistic - is that this is a matter of character as much as it is a matter of science.
This is an issue of the basic, fundamental character of the American people. And I know something about the American people. We are optimists, can-do people. We invent, we create, we build. We do not shy away from a challenge. This is our nature.
Confronting climate change will require a full-scale mobilization - a national mission that must be led from the White House. This is the challenge we face and the choice facing American voters in 2020.

Jay Inslee is the idiotic governor of Washington.
Joseph Goebbels was a German Nazi politician and Reich Minister of Propaganda of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945.
Makes me wonder how much he has invested in carbon credits.....
> The science is clear. <
Yes. But only if you silence anyone who wants to debate the issue, or challenge the data.
Has he stopped taking his meds again?
The goal is to permanently eradicate republicanism and replace it with global technocracy. To eradicate free enterprise and replace it with a global command economy.
What a fvcking douchebag
Years ago, predictions by Al Gore and his people, were that the Arctic would be ice free by now due to global warming.
But as of now the Arctic still has ice cover.
How many predictions by the global warming people have come true? And how many have not?
And what is never discussed, is how much climate change, assuming we are seeing this phenomenon, how much change is due to man, and how much due to natural cycles which we have no control over, and may not understand?
There are been numerous ice ages in Earth’s history. Each ice age ended due to sustained periods of global warming which happened entirely due to natural cycles.
The Washington COMPOST, along with the LIBERAL DEMOCRAT party, is busy once again selling its "$HIT-for-BRAINS" ideas.
It appears that Inslee thinks President Trump will change his mind on climatechangeglobalwarming when he is reelected President in 2020.
Climate change ideology is no different from radical Islam- convert or die.
What sting? I don't feel a sting. Do you feel a sting?
“Years ago, predictions by Al Gore and his people, were that the Arctic would be ice free by now due to global warming.”
Of course if the Arctic WAS ice free now it would have ABSOLUTELY NO AFFECT ON SEA LEVEL because it’s all floating ice...like ice in a full glass of water...when it melts it doesn’t overflow.
Is that a promise? So when we ignore your climate alarmism one more time, you'll stop whining about it? If only.
Liberal Horses#!t!!!
I hope the Democrats nominate someone who is a climate change radical to the max.
Must be something in the water . .
Washington State is doomed. We are looking at properties in other states. We now have the governor, both houses of the legislature and our State Supreme Court (not even one semi-conservative justice) all securely in Democrat hands. I hope Inslee does run for President... anything that gets him out of our state for even a little while is good.
