Unfortunately true and are a big hindrance and danger to the freedoms of America! Indoctrinated teachers from poisonous liberal colleges are hastening the decline of this country!

These teachers are not doing a very good job of teaching their students about the bill of rights guaranteeing the freedom of speech — especially and particularly political speech. These young people will be voting within a few years, and they ought to be applauding their interest in politics, and encouraging the peaceful exchange of political ideas.

“Jordan is a nice town. It’s in the American part of the USA.”

It’s about 35 miles south-southwest of Minneapolis, far enough away to still maintain some degree of common sense.

“Roosevelt is a ghetto school behind enemy lines. They should never be allowed to go outside the 494/694 ring.”

Roosevelt used to be good school, but that was about 40 years ago.

A “We Hate America” banner would be celebrated though

I think I figured it out. He’s a rayciss, Jim.
Pricks can’t even come out for the anthem.

Walker, who is black, also is the director of his district’s Office of Black Male Student Achievement.”

Kahn also pointed out, and the superintendent confirmed, that the Roosevelt team remained in the locker room during the playing of the national anthem before tipoff.

The Roosevelt team has been carrying out this action at both home and away games, and “the Jordan team was made aware of that practice before the game,” Minneapolis schools spokesman Dirk Tedmon said.

I wonder if the kid in the front row, right side of pic, who’s sitting with his buddies is also a racist.

I guess we would know if he ever ate McDonalds, Wendy's or Burger King.

There is nothing wrong with putting a “Trump 2020” sign in your front yard. That’s protected speech. But this happened at a public school. You don’t have free speech rights at a public school, or at your neighbor’s house, or at work, etc.

A “Trump” sign at school? That’s fine! He is the President of the United States.

A “Trump 2020” sign at school? That’s politicking. and so it cannot be allowed. (Yeah, I know, a lot of that went on while Obama was president. But it’s still wrong.)

Please explain how and why this is appropriate at a high school basketball game?

For the same reason it is appropriate to display Tommy John's ERA at a professional baseball game. (John 3:16) We used to call it "Freedom of Speech."

Now, coach, go cower in your safe area.

A basket of deplorables, indeed!

These young people are great candidates for one of Hillary’s re-education camps.

Ah, the joy of compliant citizens in a concrete and barbed wire setting.

The local commandant will mete out the harsh discipline needed to alleviate independent thinking and beliefs.

You know - freedom of speech, Christianity, homeschooling, and suchlike.

I know a bunch of them.

One is a straight white Christian male, father and husband, .....and he still votes (D). They all do, as I was informed by another teacher that is a family member.

They don’t realize it says a lot about them. Subjects of group think - no critical thinking allowed, or considered.

That is who is teaching our kids.

Agreed. Washburn and Edison were good at one time too. About the only Minneapolis HS worth anything these days is Southwest.

It’s inappropriate because the suburban white kids’ dads work for a living so they can buy a banner for their kids to take to the school games. The inner-city kids don’t have dads, so they can’t buy banners...and that’s unfair. Or something like that.

I managed a company in Louisville and we made daily deliveries of our product to blue-collar sales/manufacturing businesses. We delivered to whites, hispanics, russians, etc. all over the city. Louisville was roughly 40% black and there was a predominantly black part of town but I only ever had 1 black-owned business as a customer and he was in his 70’s. The younger blacks didn’t open businesses and they didn’t work. My warehouse was right on the edge of the black part of town and I never had a black applicant for work, not one, in almost two years.

Sounds like the school superintendent needs a crash course in Tinker vs. Des Moines

the students were seated, held a flag on their laps, so they were not blocking views behind them, I assume they bought the flag, got it for free from the campaign or one of the parent’s bought the flag, so I doubt the school bought it. They look very calm and nice about it. No disruptions by the students. This passes the “Tinker test”

The school has no case, any further action by the superintendent, the ACLU should step in.

School superintendent should be put on notice

” You don’t have free speech rights at a public school, or at you neighbor’s house, or at work, etc.”

WRONG !

We have free speech rights in all of those places even though they may not be appropriate.
Your opinion comes too close to the totalitarian Leftist mantra that “Hate speech is not free speech. “

Actually it wasn’t right, it was indoctrination, unless the students broke out in song, but the M M M Obama song was written by the staff, not the students.
