Pelosi’s never taken a trip to visit the troops in her entire career. Did you know that? She has never once done it. Why now? Anyway, Trump canceled because of the government shutdown. “You shouldn’t be leaving here.” So he canceled her trip. He said, “Fly commercial, baby.” Pelosi said, “Well, now that you’ve publicized our trip we can’t fly commercially and fly safely.” So she had to cancel it. That was a great, great moment.
She had no business leaving the country for a week....and using our servicemen for her excuse is despicable.

The USAF records reveal a number of trips made by Pelosi in 2010 obtained by J/W in July 2011, detailing:

Documents obtained by J/W in January 2019, show that a 2015 trip taken by Pelosi cost taxpayers a whopping $184,587.81. The documents obtained in 2011 include:
<><> A May 6-10, 2010, Congressional Delegation to Afghanistan and Germany “to discuss issues of mutual interest in Qatar and Afghanistan, <> conduct oversight on women’s issues (troops) in Afghanistan
<><> to visit with US troops
<><> meet with government officials in Germany.”
The total cost of military travel was $204,135.00.
The records indicate then-Speaker Pelosi made a personal request that the “maximum per diem allowance be made available at the enhanced rate of an additional $50.”

J/W found numerous trips were made by Speaker Pelosi between her home base, San Francisco, and DC's Andrews Air Force Base.
Several trips included Pelosi’s family, including her husband, daughter, granddaughters and son-in law.

A January 7-11, 2010, Congressional Delegation to Detroit, Michigan, for the expressed purpose of reviewing “the impact of congressional appropriations and policy in promoting innovation, technological development and job creation in US auto industry.”
The Detroit trip required $24,336.60 in commercial air travel and an additional $10,046.87 in expenses.
The Pentagon (read taxpayers) also paid for military escorts. One document notes that the mode of transportation for the trip would be “Comair and Milair,” (commercial air travel and military air travel).
However, the only cost related to the military portion of the transportation detailed in the records is a $15,000 advance (tax dollars) secured for (A) ground transportation, (B) meals and (C) lodging.
A total of 24 House Members (16 Democrats, 8 Republicans), led by then-Speaker Pelosi and then-Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), were on the list of trip participants.
Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) drove himself to Detroit and sought $228 in mileage reimbursement.
He cancelled her trip via military aircraft. She later claimed that Trump had endangered her by publishing her plans. She could have changed to civilian air transport but she did not like the idea of dealing with little people. As she did not go, no danger is involved. A convenient lie to make Trump look bad.

One of her staffers said she was going to Afghanistan to obtain “critical national security info”....
Now who in the h*ll would give national security information to the Speaker of the House instead of NSA and the White House?????

She’s trying to establish a shadow government with a shadow foreign policy.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she took a side trip to Iran, for example, to tell the Mullahs to “wait out” Trump.
Travel is only part of her parasitic existence.
Taxpayers demand to know what we are being gouged for to keep her as Speaker.......and can she account for all the tax dollars she gets?
Could some of the tax dollars be going to maintain her luxury lifestyle in California?
Maybe to pay the bills for her businesses?

I tend to agree with what John Sununu said today: Trump was wrong to cancel Pelosi’s trip to
Afghanistan. He should have let her go, then cancel her trip home.
