Been living in the DC area for 30 years now and for 30 years now I’ve been hearing stories about employees that do nothing and can’t get fired.
I believe it. Worked at VA hospitals in the past... same thing. Unbelievable laziness! Never fired!
60 Minutes did an episode years ago on a VA I just left. The nurses would drop off a food tray for a QUADRAPLEGIC patient, come back later and say “Oh, you’re not hungry.” and take the tray away. The other patients had to feed the guy.
Lesson here... Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for yourself.
