there are always going to be people who don’t like others because of immutable traits which they blame for their own failures in life.

Defending against a charge of being a “racist” is really quite simple, I’ve done it. You’ve got to get the accuser to define and specify the charge and how it applies to you. The last time I did this it wound up being a huge shouting match where my opponent thought loud angry bursts equated to winning an argument, but the guy was smart enough to understand he was wrong.
For example AOC says Trump is racist. I’d love to sit down at a table with this little commie and ask her to define and specify the charge.
