I was in California when Arnold was elected. Thought quite highly of the guy, in fact.
What a huge disappointment. Trump is not that way, but in some ways this is seeming a bit similar.
Trump you won, on the wall, and on China trade.
Really. And a lot of us were quite enthused when you won.
You are doing a good job, and certainly (way) better than anyone else would be.
But it has been two whole years. Be the American leader, who so many thought you would be.
Stand up for America.
Presidents in both parties, have been selling out America for the entire last generation and a half.
You seemed to be different. It is why you won.

This is just humiliating. He’s been just delaying this for over 2 years. This was what got him elected and he backed down..again. We cling to hope because we know he is our last chance and it sure doesn’t look good.

I bet President Trump and Ann Coulter had some great laughs while they were planning for her to kick him in the teeth with her recent blistering attacks. I cant wait for February 15th to roll around. At that point everyone who hasn’t come to the negotiating table for serious reforms on border security will be getting their ass handed to them. Nancy and Chuckie will be first. When Ann criticizes President Trump the Dems and the lame stream media wet their pants with joy. Never underestimate President Trump this is far from over.
IMHO the lying, scumbag, despicable FAKE NEWS and the leftists working for the federal government made it unproductive and near impossible for the president to continue the shutdown.
They have been working hard to convince the public that poor people and children are starving, going without meds and medical care and that the shutdown
is endangering the safety of people - especially those travelling by air.
The air traffic shutdown today made it clear they are succeeding.
What would the leftists’ next step be?
Would they allow people to die so they can blame the president?
Not a doubt at all they would do it if the airline shutdown didn’t work.
We knew that Trump was not a strict conservative when we voted for him.
He is a Patriot, a Wheeler-Dealer an oportunist but a realist as well.
Historically, if one position or plan isn’t working for him he takes his lumps and moves on to Plan-B.
In the “Art Of The Deal” he states that he that he remains flexible.
He doesn’t get too attached to a plan - he changes his strategy as the situation changes, always keeping his objective in sight.
This struggle isn’t over yet, it’s only the end of the first round.
Pelosi may be gloating now but the president threw the gauntlet down today:
“Congress - put action where your mouth is or in 21 days I will act on my own.”
The shutdown might have worked in his favor if he wasn’t fighting the democrats and media almost single-handed.
Even his own party didn’t stand firm behind their own president.
She’ll be “Omega” Nancy Pelosi soon - terminal brain freeze.
Your analogy is boring to say the least and has zero bearing on our current situation. Try to stay on topic.

McConnell comes out of this looking like a genius. He played the political angle very well — knowing he didn’t even have 15 Republicans who want a wall.
