I can comment on this (the A.A. part),if the person who drinks or drugs is not ready to be sober and enjoy the clarity all the money in the world will not resolve it . I drank for years and thought nothing of it feeling that it was a societal norm! I would easily work and not see what others (who were sober) saw in my attitude and work performance. Anyway drinking and drugging intervention/prevention has become BIG business in all aspects of our society . The cheapest way to address this is not privitized “rehab” centers but simply “jail like” places separate from criminal jails ...Return to State Hospitals we used to have for the mentally ill rather than stuffing them in jails which are not set up for treating that aspect of humanity. But in saying that I love this man our President Donald John Trump for his love of our Republic and his fellow citizens . Also for taking his time to serve us rather than sitting back watching America circle the drain to globalism. What a God send.

State hospitals were places of horrors. What a great place for monsters to have easy access to those we have thrown away.
Big biz rehab programs are kept honest because they have a bottom line. Unless they are corporate cronies.
I find it difficult to advocate fore move government institionalization.. it is most certainky never xheap.
Psychologically where is the line between mental illness and criminal behaviour.
The libs can find mental incapacity in all kinds of criminal activities. Are serial killers staying in a state hospital?

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I did my detox at home by cutting back slowly over several months and then going cold turkey.

It was fits and starts at first and plenty of sleepless nights.

When I finally stopped entirely, the sleepless nights continued and the digestive problems picked up (praying helped a great deal during this period). But slowly the problems started to decline and the glimmers of hope started to grow.

I never had any cravings which made quitting considerably easier, but, if I had to, I was fully prepared to do whatever it took to quit.

As said, one of the best things I ever did.
