Darwin, the Idol of Richard Dawkins and His Followers

February 1, 2019 | Jerry Bergman

Richard Dawkins’ God is Charles Darwin

by Jerry Bergman, PhD

Besides owning almost every book Richard Dawkins has authored, including his newest 15th book (2017), I have watched him in many video interviews. I consider the most honest interview he gave to be the one with Ben Stein in the movie Expelled.[1] Dawkins is very frank about his beliefs and is not afraid to buck against society’s norms. His upcoming book, Outgrowing God: A Beginner’s Guide to Atheism (2019), is aimed at children.

From the article:

"A Debate Dawkins Backed Out Of

Several years ago I was contacted by an atheist society in Indianapolis in their effort to have Dawkins debate a creationist. I was told this would be a David vs Goliath event (with Dawkins the Goliath, in their opinion). The atheists were anxious to see their champion, Dawkins, triumph against one who they considered to be one of the most qualified creationists. After I agreed to the debate, I was at first nervous, but an in-depth reading of his beliefs helped me begin to develop my debate strategy.

At this point I was looking forward to the debate, confident that I would prevail, or at least hold my own. About this time I received a request from Dawkins through the atheist group for a copy of my resume, which I sent.

A short time later the atheist group informed me that Dawkins backed out of the debate."

This was quite a sad part of the article:

“His pathogenic hatred of theism is illustrated in research by Professor Paul Vitz, who did a study of academic atheists like Richard Dawkins.

Vitz concluded that academic atheists are likely to have had a very destructive relationship with their father or were molested as children.[21]

Dawkins admits his experience of sexual abuse by a teacher at his junior school.

Also, at his senior school, Oundle, he was forced to fended off older boys who tried to climb into his bed at night.[22]”

What did you have in your resume that scared him?

Probably knowledge of the subject. Darwinists seek to indoctrinate, not search for Truth.

They tried to ride him like a dinosaur!

‘Darwinists seek to indoctrinate, not search for Truth.’

hmmm; as opposed to organized religions, for instance...?

Karl Marx dedicated one of his famous screeds to Charles Darwin.

Not only that, they generally don’t TEACH evolution; they mostly just assume it and move on under the assumptions.

I guess I’m a “Darwinist” and I also search for truth.

The best evidence against the Theory of Evolution that I have ever heard was presented in one of Sodpoodle's humor threads this very morning.

I will paraphrase but it went something like this.

If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys around?
I thought about that awhile and the truth of that statement grew even more profound.

Given what I knew about the guys and gals I grew up with, if my crowd had just evolved slightly above the local apes and monkeys, we would still have socialized with them (i.e. hit on them)...and that means that we would have had sex with them and completely intermingled with them.

Hence, the offspring of those apes and monkeys would have also evolved...and so on and so on.

Or to put it another way, the general human horniness would have left no monkey behind.

Hmm, do you think all religious are like cults, trying to brainwash people?

If it weren’t for some Creationist’s obsession with him, I never would have heard of Richard Dawkins. The free publicity probably helps sell his books.

“Also, at his senior school, Oundle, he was forced to fended off older boys who tried to climb into his bed at night.[22]””

The school still promotes the practice of Christian values and maintains strong links with the Church of England by celebrating the major events of the Christian calendar. All pupils who board are required to attend services in the school chapel three times a week: one midweek lunch time service, Friday hymn practice, and the Sunday service. Pupils of other faiths are free to worship according to their own beliefs but must still attend chapel with the rest of the school.

If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys around?

If semi-auto handguns evolved from revolvers, why are there still revolvers around?

If spacecraft evolved from airplanes, why are there still airplanes around?

If television evolved from radio, why is radio still around?

Darwin was notorious for being incredibly flatulent. Everyone he met said he stank

Your ignorance shows.

If semi-auto handguns evolved from revolvers, why are there still revolvers around?

Because semi-automatics aren't horny and neither semi-autos nor handguns are reproduced by the sex act.

Humans on the other hand will have sex with anything that remotely resembles their biological mate (robots, blowup dolls, and/or anything else that is willing and not too dangerous).

Well, that too. If and when humans and chimps were only slightly different, they would be shagging like Austin Powers.

I went to high school with some guys who would have chased female chimps despite the great biological distance.

In fact, I have doubts about some of my old girlfriends.;-)

Are you saying that you do indeed think that humans evolved from chimps?

If so, it seems your vestigial tail is showing.
