I am almost 72 and I have worn a sheet with eyes cut out as a Halloween costume in the mid ‘70’s after I got back from the war. I remember that one of the girls who had curly blond hair covered her face with black shoe polish and wore a cheap black hair wig at the same party. This was in suburban Baltimore and about all those at the party were white collar bankers. It was all in good, drunken, fun. Race relations were much better back then. Memories of the late ‘60’s riots were still fresh and the Negros just wanted to get along and live in relative peace.

I’m sick and tired of this “everyone is a racist” nonsense. Most of us did or said things at one point in our life that would be conidered racist today. Big deal. We’ve also said thing that were sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and all the rest of that lot. It’s called Free Speech. Yes you have to pay a price for it sometimes, but not 35 years later. I was against what they tried to do to Kavanaugh and I’m against this.
I DO want him to resign, but not because of a stupid college thing but because of his blatant disregard for life.
This is just virtue signalling on a grand scale, Democraps going “See what a good person I am, I’m calling for one of our own guys to resign!”.
One of those guys are him. He looks about 5’9” or 5’10”...If he is in the Klan suit, his friend in blackface would have to be pretty tall.

He had mentioned he wasn’t in that picture, but had Black Faced up to emulate Michael Jackson at another time. I was referencing that situation.

I'm that much younger; no, I've never done such a thing, although I am a bit sick of the blackface whining. Big deal. Authenticity was the goal, not so much "making fun" as all these wussies try to fain.
The KKK thing is a bit worse, but still, it's just a costume, and not necessarily a "condoning" point.

That said, I do think this guy has some 'splainin to do.
He admits to using black makeup on his face once but claims the picture is not of him. He's over the tipping point, however, with the nickname "coonman".
As for the outrage of wearing blackface, I think people need to just get over it. The same applies to KKK attire. If someone in a white sheet is harassing you, that is what the Second Amendment is for.
