Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell cautioned President Trump privately this week about the consequences of declaring a national emergency to build his border wall, telling him the move could trigger political blowback and divide the GOP, according to two Republicans with knowledge of the exchange…
That would take place under provisions of the National Emergencies Act, which provides that a presidential declaration can be terminated if lawmakers pass a joint resolution to do so. House Democrats would be likely to move swiftly to approve such a resolution, and the law provides that it would come to the Senate floor, where it would require only a majority vote to pass.
At least a half-dozen Republican senators are fiercely opposed to the idea of an emergency declaration, generating enough opposition that a disapproval resolution could pass the Senate with the support of the 47 Democrats and a handful of GOP senators — the scenario about which McConnell warned Trump.

Any GOP senator who would vote against this emergency declaration is a declared enemy of America. This is our government subverting and working against its own citizens. They are advancing a population strategy that would replace troublesome patriots with dependent and compliant Democrat voters who will vote for ever bigger government.
Bush League Republicans are not about to let us reverse their 30 year plan to turn the USA into North Mexico.

That would be the end of support for the GOP. The whole process in Washington would be meaningless as far as the congress and senate doing anything that would support America and We the People of America.... the patriots.
So Mitch is for more crime, more government hand-outs, more Typhus, and an end to this Country as we know it. Just checking.
Any GOP senator who votes against the wall is done, politically, as a Republican. However, I suspect some of them might survive as independents. Murkowski and Collins, in particular. But most of them would be signing their own political death warrants - they’d be done with political office in this lifetime.
