Let’s consider this; $1.3 billion is $1.3 billion more than we have now and is $1.3 billion less that President Trump will have to find when he declares the emergency.

The definition of compromise for a leftist democrat is they get everything they want, and the Republicans get nothing.I

Never negotiate with a leftist. They only understand power. Punch back twice as hard.

I wish our great leaders would apply the same thrift to spending our money across the board.
NPR,PP,corrupt FBI investigations, and many welfare and other government programs.

If Hannity doesn’t like it, sounds like it might work

I believe that 1.37 billion was already allocated for border security. Looks like the rats added the beds, took that off the table in exchange for nothing.

How does this deal differ from what was agreed to prior to the shutdown?

I see no reason to disagree with Hannity’s assessment. This compromise serves the interests of Democrats and Republicans like Shelby. It does not serve the interests of the American people or of the Republican president. This is a blatant attempt by the GOP to neuter their president’s bedrock campaign promise.

Hannity never was very bright.

Trump now has them on record supporting border funding. They can’t wag their tongues about “immoral” anymore. They agreed to it, just like every GOP legislator who claims to be Pro-Life but voted to fund Planned Parenthood. The blood is on their hands as well.

Now that the principle has been established, Trump can dip into discretionary funds (Defense, Homeland Security, etc) to make up the difference without calling an emergency. He can do it by Executive Order.

Trust me, the Democrat base are the ones crying “sell out” even if the media won’t report it. They objected to the Wall in principle and Trump has been able to overcome that principle. The Left will see this as betrayal by their own side.

Sounds like they’re funding the sanitation department.

What democrats have done in the past was take the parts of any ‘compromise’ and enact it into law (amnesty) THEN refuse to fund the parts that created security for Americans.

In short they don’t keep their word.

Seems to me that this will solidify the issue with the courts. The fact that both sides provide funding for the wall will be an argument the liberal lawyers will have to overcome should they take it to court. They admit there is a problem by funding.

Consider this: it's $700 million LESS than was agreed to two months ago. This is not a deal, the Republican's are folding like cheap suits as usual and they're handing Nancy Pelosi a victory.

NO DEAL.

Shut the damn' government down -- ALL OF IT -- and don't re-open it until the border wall is fully funded to the $25+ BILLION the Democrats agreed to previously.

No one is reporting on the length of time this CR will last. 2 weeks? 2 months? And regarding ICE “beds”, does that include other institutions, including private facilities (there are a couple private companies we contract with)? Or the fact that we are making them wait in Mexico? Too little information yet.

Bad idea. If Trump takes this bad deal then it will be widely seen as the Dems winning and owning Trump from here on out. Trump will not ever again get anything he wants as the Dems would just have to wait him out as they know that he would just eventually fold anyway.

So no, President Trump should not even consider signing this for more than the time it takes to VETO it.

Hannity broke into President Trump’s speech in El Paso, Texas, to criticize the reported deal

Sean keeps proving all of the worst Leftist critics of his ego to be correct.

The bottom line is the numbers are in and an overwhelming amount of Americans want the wall. The Democrats are saying that despite the fact they are a “representative government”, to hell with what the people want, it’s all about what they want. Our President should kick this trash heap back to the house, declare an emergency on behalf of the American people who are losing loved ones to drug overdoses, crime and trafficking and be done with it. It’s time for the democrats to learn, in a very public way, the separation of powers.
