What did Twitter have to say about this? It would appear that their tolerance for this sort of thing is not evenhanded.

I have a fantasy about the entire staff of The Atlantic being hunted down and hanged like the John Wilkes Booth conspirators.

If the staff of The Atlantic hates President Trump and wants him dead, then they want the same fate for each & every one of us who voted him into office.

Think about that and let it burn in real good. Then govern yourselves accordingly, if you get my drift.

Had this been someone posting such a fantasy during a SOTU by Obama...

I agree on the later part concerning Obama.

Look I’ve pretty much bought off on the Oswald part, but I’m not entirely convinced of that either.

What other people were involved? I have always had a very hard time believing he was able to get off three shots.

So what did all this do? It caused a lot of folks to lose faith in parts of our government. Was there a cover-up, a conspiracy...

Things like this are never settled. I don’t care for that type of situation to linger for decades.

I’m don’t dwell on it. I doubt many people do.

Still...

While all pols swear allegiance to the Warren Report, the later House Investigation Committee found that there was indeed a conspiracy to assinate President Kennedy.

What we’ve found is that government is NOT to be trusted. The case of Donald J. Trump should convince you of that if nothing before it did.

As for the JFK case, I’m not totally sold on either explanation but I am convinced that the LBJ administration covered up the investigation of JFK’s murder because they feared it could push us into direct war with Russia or Cuba. LBJ was next door neighbors with J. Edgar Hoover and the two were able to manufacture/suppress any evidence that could get in public hands.

That doesn’t prove they killed JFK, only that they corrupted any investigation of it.

I’ve looked at the Zapruder Film so many times and one fact is almost never mentioned. If the “magic bullet” supposedly caused all the other wounds beside the head shot and it had reached the target by the time JFK is seen grasping his throat after emerging from behind the Stemmons Freeway sign, why is Gov. Connally still holding onto his cowboy hat in his right hand when it had supposedly been shot in the wrist by that time? I know cowboys love their hats but...

I doubt anyone who had actually planned an assassination would entrust a loser and screw-up like Oswald to carry it out yet Oswald left his wedding ring with his wife the night before along with all his cash and the Mannlicher Carcano rifle has been thoroughly established to have been in Oswald’s possession as he took it to work that morning disguised as “curtain rods” (his boarding house room in Oak Cliff did not need new curtain rods).

So, at the very least, Oswald knew something major was going down that day and there is strong evidentiary and forensic evidence that his gun fired three shots from the TSBD sixth floor that day. The “patsy” angle holds no water with me.

A Grassy Knoll shooter seems entirely possible, especially for the head shot (if you stand behind that fence you see what an easy shot this was) but the crime scene there had been cleaned up allegedly by people dressed as police before it could be investigated.

Two shooters mean a conspiracy but I just don’t have full confidence in either narrative being true. All I can conclude is that Oswald was involved.

If AOC had half a brain (or any brain at all), she would repudiate this insane racist bitch for including her name in this murderous fantasy.

If AOC doesn’t, that means she agrees with it, which would not be a surprise.

If there are any rational people left in the democRat party, they need to lean hard on Miss(ing) Cortex to get her mouth under control.

But they won’t.

This is literally the equivalent of shouting “Fire” in a crowded theatre. It is not free speech.

Would I ever make comments about him needing to be assassinated? Hell no.

That's because you are not a leftist. Scratch the surface, push back a bit, or question their stance and they go bonkers and have violent profane laced outbursts. I'm not talking about just on the national stage. I'm talking on an everyday, man on the street level. From HOAs to PTAs to random encounters, you can see it. Everyone has a bad day, and everyone losses it now and then. Leftists, even you run of the mill modern liberal, though loose their minds with little to no provocation on a regular basis.

I suspect she is seriously obsessed with some street-level drugs. These Nazi ‘journalists’ are exposing their altered mental states.

My thoughts, too. After all, a fantasy is a fantasy, not a threat.

With Ford coming out and admitting he falsified part of the magic bullet information, it’s hard not to doubt government. That’s part of the damage created by the assassination. I guess you could look a it as an eye opener, which would be good, but it’s all bad to me.

As for Johnson interfering, I’m not sure he had to exert much pressure. Congress was unhinged in it’s looks at the information. Some of it was just unhinged.

As for Oswald, he had been in Russia. He could easily have been used to foster an international incident. It would have been something like the collusion case now. The real culprits in the U. S. slinking away, while the public was misdirected to look at a Russian connection. Luckily, that ploy wasn’t adopted.

I agree that Oswald was involved. I don’t think there’s much doubt about that. I don’t think he knew everything that was going down though.

From the way Kennedy’s head reacted to the head-shot, I have always thought he was shot directly from behind. That shot may have been accomplished by Oswald, but I was always curious if there wasn’t another shooter behind the limo (line of sight wise).

As for Connally and the magic bullet, I think they were making it up as they went there. Ford pretty much let that out of the bag with his confession. Imagine him confessing to doing that. Good grief. It was almost as if he was proud of falsifying the data.

You know, during this big events, a lot of information gets aired. I don’t deny there could have been a parking lot shooter (grassy knoll). I don’t deny there could have been others. I just don’t know...

I’ve pretty much accepted we’ll never know.

It’s a shame too, because an event this big and important needs to be aired.

As for Oswald being a patsy, I think he may have been a visible person they used to draw attention from others. I’m not sold on that either, but it was a well known plot strategy used in some of the popular media movies of the day.

You can blackmail a couple of guys who think they are acting alone, and then put some experienced people in there too to make sure things happen...

At any rate, thanks for the comments.

You’re right.

I have a family member that loves to spout off union nonsense to me.

When I start talking about my beliefs, he doesn’t want to talk about politics.

Thanks for yours too. Hollywood could not have invented a mystery figure as perfectly as Oswald. You could tie him into Russia, Cuba, CIA and Mafia plots thereby allowing all of them to point the finger elsewhere.

But he was also a loser that nobody trusted.

Oswald’s brother Robert told a story that I think demonstrated Oswald’s inflated ego. People marveled at how Oswald was able to get clearance to return from Russia (with Russian wife en tow) when it was insanely difficult for many others to get approved entrance to the U.S. from countries behind the Iron Curtain.

The Soviets said later they simply wanted to be rid of him.

Neither U.S. intelligence or the media was the least bit curious when he arrived in New York either. Robert said when he met Lee that Lee was absolutely stunned that there wasn’t media there to ask him questions and no intelligence agents to debrief him. He seemed to have an entire statement rehearsed but there was no audience to receive him.

Lee believed he was somebody important and that it deflated his ego that nobody cared about him. He was intent on being important.

That’s supposedly why he tried to assassinate Maj. Walker in the spring of 1963 but he missed his target and hit a window frame. Marina says he came back sweating profusely and behaving like the cops would bust down his door at any moment. Again, nobody showed up.

I just don’t see any group thinking “Let’s use this guy to assassinate Kennedy” but I do think any group that wanted Kennedy dead may have helped him get into position and then had their own shooters standing by to finish the job.
