PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Sen. Kamala Harris told a crowd Monday that she would push for the federal government to rename Columbus Day “Indigenous Peoples’ Day," a focal point for some progressives who say the holiday should emphasize the history of Native Americans instead of the European conquerer.
“Sign me up,” Harris said in response to a voter's question of whether she would support the initiative to rename the holiday. She spoke of her own efforts in the Senate to make lynching a federal crime.

In the anti-lynching bill recently passed by the supposedly Republican majority Senate was slipped in at the last minute clauses that make LGBT claimants a federally protected class. Federal (supreme?) court recently turned down gender identification as a protected class but I guess it will be now. This happened during the early days of the recent Jussie hoax when he accused white men wearing MAGA hats and Kamala jumped on the attack white-male-Trump-supporter bandwagon.
Looks like it may not be a coincidence that Jussie Smollett “survived an attempted lynching” just after this was introduced — he was seen campaigning for her — she needed the publicity to gain support for her anti-lynching bill.
