De Blasio: ‘There Is Plenty of Money…in This Country, but, it’s in the Wrong Hands’

“I say, there is plenty of money in this world, plenty of money in this country. But it's in the wrong hands,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) declared on Sunday.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” de Blasio claimed that Amazon’s decision not to open a corporate headquarters in New York City is proof that wealth is in the hands of the wrong people:

“Let's be clear: No one chased away. This was Amazon's arbitrary decision. We had an agreement. If I made an agreement with you, and there were issues that came up, but we had an agreement, you wouldn't call me in the dead of night and say, 'Hey, we're taking our marbles, and we're going home.' Let's be clear about who made this decision. And this is the problem.

“When you have so much wealth and power in the hands of very few, it does not work for working people. I say, there is plenty of money in this world, plenty of money in this country, but it's in the wrong hands. And Amazon is making my point for me. What they did was arbitrary and unfair to working people."

Mayor de Blasio also argued that progressive policies can both redistribute wealth and stimulate economic growth:

“I think the challenge is to show we can do both, and in New York City we are doing both. We have 4.5 million jobs; we’re raising wages; raising benefits, giving people universal health care. We’re proving that progressives can achieve those things.”

Yes, it is in the wrong hands.
The government should take a lot less.

Yes, it is in the wrong hands. Soros, Bill and Hillary, Pelosi, DeBlasio, to name just a few. All ill gotten gains made at the expense of the American tax payer.

No one is stopping him from writing more checks to the IRS. Maybe a contribution to a church or agency that really helps not just money going to administration costs like The Clinton Foundation.

Ha ha ha.

That always works for elections, and always, always fails in practice.

Hint: Think Venezuela

Unfair and arbitrary to Wilhelm’s working people. NY isn’t the only place that has working people. If I was Amazon I would go inefficient and put people to work in 10 different places to spite Wilhelm, and Cuomo.

I say, there is plenty of money in this world, plenty of money in this country, but it's in the wrong hands.

And, since I'm the smartest guy on the planet, I have the best plan for it. Let's take it out of the hands of productive investors who create plant/equipment, and jobs and give it to some Snowflake who will fritter it away on a vacation to Jamaica.

De Blasio really should be the first one to set an example. He should figure out the average wage in NY and live off of that. Then he can send all the rest of his money to the IRS. That would really be putting your money where your mouth is.

Really? Please show me one example where that happened.

Who the hell gave you authority to make that judgement? Exodus 20:17 17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

Stick that in your crack pipe and smoke it, Commie bastard.

According to him, the only time it’s in the wrong hands is when it isn’t in his. I’m glad Amazon told him to go piss up a stump.

progressive policies can both redistribute wealth and stimulate economic growth:

There is his plan. But it won’t stimulate anything but buy more votes.

Redistributing wealth means confiscating it.

Next up: A wealth tax for New Yorkers.
They a mass exodus.

I didn’t click on the link, but I’m guessing he didn’t call out by name, the owner of Amazon, the richest man in the world.
