He pled to federal charges in VA & DC. These are state charges in NY.
This is outright political oppression by domestic terrorists.
They’re watching closely and they know no one is being brought to justice. Harbor illegal aliens?...silence. A conspiracy of high treason?...crickets. Meanwhile, all of Trump’s associates are indicted on process crimes.
It only emboldens the radical left and they’re moving in for the kill.
Mueller — Two for this SOB— Jewell / Hatfil (innocent men)
For his Hitman - Weissman or whatever-— one Word ENRON !
Weissman worse than Mueller...HE got men put in jail where they DIED,,—Before their convictions were OVERTURNED !
Ol’Will was right— First we kill all the lawyers !
Doible jeopardy. When did it become legal to use the government to bankrupt political enemies?
If I were on Manafort’s defense team, I’d be SERIOUSLY QUESTIONING whether the evidence against him was obtained legally - as in was the law followed regarding Muller’s appointment, since that’s where the ‘evidence’ against Manafort is coming from.
Trump barely knows Manafort. The RNC-e pushed him onto Trumps campaign before theyd give him their support. I doubt he knows much if anything about POTUS that could hurt him politically, so why would he pardon him anyway?
It’s not double jeopardy. He pled to federal charges in VA & DC. These are state charges in NY.
I wonder if things would be different if Lee Atwater were still alive and involved in GOP politics.
Considering how he came to regret Willie Horton, probably not.
If they have the goods why hold off?
Manafort was Trump’s campaign manager from the end of the primaries until the end of the convention.
His job was to keep delegates in Trump’s camp.
He was NOT the campaign manager during the Fall campaign.
Nice to know things are so good in New York that they can prosecute things that haven’t happened yet. Must be a great place to live....

Sentencing on the federal charges will be done by T.S. Ellis in Virginia, a Reagan appointee and in Washington D.C. by Amy Berman Jackson, an Obama appointee. It was Manafort’s decision to have separate trials and thus seperate sentences.
