Kamala Harris: “In a Relatively Short Time, Portsmouth, NH Will Be Underwater”

During a speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics on Tuesday, California Senator–and Green New Deal supporter– Kamala Harris had a dire warning for the Granite State: The city of Portsmouth will soon be underwater due to climate change.

“I was in Portsmouth yesterday. If you look at the rates and the tables in terms of the decline, because we are talking about decline, within a relatively short period of time, it will be underwater. This is a real issue,” Harris said.

Harris was speaking at a Politics and Eggs breakfast event, which is a must-stop on the presidential campaign trail through New Hampshire. Though she did not mention the Green New Deal by name, she has previously endorsed the proposal and is making climate change a central part of her White House bid.

If Portsmouth, NH, is soon to be underwater, then Manhattan is not long to follow.

If this is a "relatively short time" frame, they why hasn't CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and the NYT, relocated out of Times Square for higher ground?

When the MSM shows signs of fleeing the coast, then I'll worry about global warming.

I think you meant 350 billion, not 350 million. Even then, it would have to be ice sitting on land running into the water let us, otherwise my iced tea would overflow everytime the ice melts.

It takes 360,000,000 tons of melted ice to raise the sea level 1 mm.

Assuming that no where in the world does an equal amount of water freeze

“The average weight for a Grand Banks-area iceberg is 100,000-200,000 tonnes” That’s a lot of bergs ...

Climate alarmism is just a modern version of man’s primal superstitions about cataclysmic natural events.

Climate alarmism is a form of Groupthink — or, as Heller puts it, the Emperor’s New Clothes.

If the case for the “global warming” were as strong as these experts say, the debate would be over by now.

Climate alarmism is entirely dependent on graphs and computer models which rely on cherry-picked or corrupt data.

The proposed solutions to “climate change” are “unworkable, dangerous and useless.”

"...If you look at the rates and the tables in terms of the decline, because we are talking about decline..."

She can't even get her gobbledegook straight. Sounds like the teleprompter batteries gave out. Maybe she confused her water table with sea level.

Great find. Here's the chart...

ONE to TWO millimeters per year! That is 40 to 80 thousandths of an inch per year. I don't know if they will have enough time to get ready. It's a National Emergency!

Portsmouth votes between 67 and 71 percent hardcore leftist

so her concern is quite understandable?

Ask New Orleans and see how a city of 300,000 prospers when most of it is below sea level.

I’ve posted this more than once. There is a road in England, the Broomway, that is and has been underwater at every high tide. It’s been in use for over 600 years. Aren’t the oceans rising in England?

They seem to have stopped updating many of the US long term data in the last decade. Hmmm...

No, there was an exemption in the Magna Carta. Or something. Maybe Gandalf prevents it.

It takes 360,000,000 tons of melted ice to raise the sea level 1 mm.

Presuming that all that ice melted because it got 'hotter', the atmosphere would absorb the extra moisture and the net result would be zero.
