In other words, "real" socialists believe suffering is honorable because a society that limits the personal achievement to mediocrity (and worse) is "morally superior" to capitalism which rewards exceptionalism.
How people can come to this view is a mystery.
Clearly it is part of that postmodern quality that produces the "good is bad" and "up is down" perception of those on the Left.
The question is "how do rational humans accept a twisted and irrational view that in inconsistent with the reality of human experience?"
Clearly these people have been successfully indoctrinated (in colleges/universities and elsewhere), but is there something else about the human mind that permits it to hold onto a belief system that is so clearly opposed to reality.
