Just breaking on twitter. I will post a better source when one is available. Reports are all over the place, with at least one Indiana jet down.

Some say it was a Paki incursion into India, others say the opposite. Some reports that one jet fell one the Indian side, others say two jets shot down one falling in Pakistan. Two Dead.

“...with at least one Indiana jet down.”

If it wasn’t so potentially serious, we could have fun with that. :)

Some say . . . others say the opposite.
.
one jet fell one the Indian side . . . two jets shot down, one falling in Pakistan

I'm confused.

This could grow legs. Not terribly good. Both have nukes and are religious enemies. A free fire conflict could escalate rapidly. We (USA) have assets in the area. Tense time for our people.

Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor
@OfficialDGISPR
In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.

One thing is for sure. Whenever our president is on one of his foreign trips then the DeepState tries to find a way to break news coverage of the trip by creating a crisis somewhere else. They would also like nothing more than to start a war on Trump’s watch.

Either one of these countries are capable of turning the lion loose (nukes). That would be extremely hard to slow and control. I doubt this is anything about Trump and the deepstate. Anyone throws the first one the brakes are off. Nothing good happens when a free fire event occurs.

Pakistan has ordered a total of 111 F-16A/B aircraft. Of these, 71 were embargoed by the US due to Pakistan's nuclear weapons program. Of these 71, 28 were actually built but were flown directly to the AMARC at Davis-Monthan AFB for storage.

Over the years, various plans were conceived for these 28 aircraft: Pakistan wanted to get the aircraft or their money back; they were offered to various nations, none of which were interested; ultimately, the US Navy and USAF entered them into service as aggressor aircraft.

After Pakistan's help in the war on terror, the US lifted the embargo. In 2005, Pakistan requested 24 new Block 50/52 F-16C/Ds (with option for as much as 55 aircraft). Ultimately an order for 18 F-16s was placed with an option on another 18.

Perhaps diplomacy can delay the conflict some more but these two nations loathe each other for historical and religious reasons and peaceful coexistence when the differences are emotional rather than purely political is very, very challenging. A single spark could ignite the whole works. I sincerely hope this isn’t that spark but unless something dramatic changes in their feeling about each other, some spark will eventually do it I fear.
