white Detroit Police officer is under internal investigation following a Snapchat video during which the officer can be heard saying "Bye, Felicia" as he records a young black woman walking home in frigid temperatures.

It’s a line from a movie!
A movie by Ice Cube!
Good heavens!............................
Holy crap!
“He has a troubling history,” Craig adds, in reference to Steele’s 2008 arrest following a domestic attack on his girlfriend during which he fired a gun at her. “His departmental history predates my appointment. It would have been a different outcome if I had been chief.”
The cop was arrested ten years ago for SHOOTING at his girlfriend and STILL made the force!
NO, he was ALREADY a cop when arrested, and STAYED a cop!
Craig noted that Steele has been on the force for nearly 19 years and often trains other police officers.
Details from the press conference show via bodycam footage that Moore was, in fact, offered a ride home just a block away from the traffic stop and declined
The more LEOs covered for him, the more he thought he could get away with.
Then he decided to do something, perhaps not too bad, but so unbelievably stupid that no one wanted to cover for him anymore.
Total idiot
Wow, there were TWO officers suspended, but only Steele was reported about today.
Unidentified partner.
Hmmm.
What about the suspended partner?
See post #8.
Yeah, I’m not buying any of this.
I think they wanted (and needed years ago) a good reason to ditch him, and Big Media will praise them for it, and ALSO cover for the cops.
Shoot at your girlfriend, get arrested, stay a cop and train other cops?
If that’s the whole story, and there was no misbehavior by the black woman, they’re better off without him. But they usually don’t tell the whole story.
That’s disturbing, this chicken crap isn’t.
What about him?
Big Media pushes the narrative necessary for today.
Whatever happened in this case, Officer Steele should have been removed from the force 10 years ago for shooting at his girlfriend and getting arrested.
I just turned on the DVR for today’s edition of Dr Phil and he’s doing the Jessie Smollette hoax. This oughtta be good.
Per link in post #8:
His partner from the department’s Sixth Precinct, who has not been identified, was in the vehicle and recorded saying “walk of shame.”
The investigation of the officers, who have been suspended with pay, includes determining whether there was a pattern of behavior and if Steele posted a similar Snapchat video in December 2017, Craig said.
“The statements that you saw in the video reflects some other contacts that Officer Steele and his partner had at different times, comments about (a) walk of shame, and certainly some derogatory remarks as it relates to both African-American men and African-American women,” the chief said.
Once again, SO WHAT?!?!
It wasn’t the partner that posted the vid.
The partner was recorded in the incident and remained unidentified and unreported on again.
Except for Steele needing to be fired 10 years ago, I wonder why the partner got away so easy.
Perhaps there are characteristics that protect him from punishment.
No need to keep asking about it, though.
That wasn't the part that was inappropriate. Not sure why that line was even mentioned. It was the "this is what Black Girl Magic looks like" and "Celebrating Black History Month" graphics he overlayed on his video, while belittling her as she walked away.
If not outright racist, his posting on snapchat was incredibly unprofessional, and brought discredit upon the Detroit PD. He deserved to be fired. If this is how you look at the people you are entrusted to "serve and protect", you are not suited for police work.
This cop has a bad history. Watch cops stopping cop videos for road infractions on youtube.....shows an arrogance & mendacity that is depressing.
I’m no police basher, but I’m realistic. Lot of stress these days in that profession.
