New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker introduced legislation to end the federal prohibition of marijuana on Thursday, joined by a series of other announced and potential Democratic 2020 presidential hopefuls including Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, and Kamala Harris...Booker added: “But it’s not enough to simply decriminalize marijuana. We must also repair the damage caused by reinvesting in those communities that have been most harmed by the War on Drugs. And we must expunge the records of those who have served their time.

Such law would result in a nation of people shuffling along, oblivious to all. Just the kind of sheep the dummocraps would like, to pull everything they ever wanted to on our citizenry.

I recently posted about a Queens high school which has been brought to its knees by the principal allowing the students to vape THC and smoke dope in the halls, classrooms, everywhere. Teachers actually have to move their classes out of their classrooms, there are such dope fumes in the rooms. One student was quoted as saying "she never did dope before coming to this school." As it had become the culture in that school, she took up smoking dope. Is this what we want everyone to start doing?

Dummocrap party line: "A drugged up citizenry is a group easily led by their noses."

You ought to see what booze can do. It turns brains to mush. Monday marked 29 years of sobriety for me.

Oh please with the gate way drug. The first drug I started with was methamphetamine and that was forty 46 years ago. Then I started smoking pot. I didn’t need ID to buy weed. When I was 18 the drinking age in NJ was lowered to that age in 1974. Last Monday I celebrated 29 years of sobriety.

Gotta find more people to keep on the Democrat plantation.

I have NO DESIRE to see marijuana decriminalized let alone legalized. It stinks. You already can't avoid it in the Atlanta area. No one I've met here who is a frequent user is stable. I see anger and paranoia. And those so baked they can barely keep their eyes open while out shopping with their little kids needs to have those kids TAKEN AWAY for their own health & safety.

I think it is completely dumb to get high on cannabis as it is to get drunk on alcohol, but what free people put in their own bodies is not the governments business and to support making people criminals for smoking a plant is dumber than smoking it.

Those who want to keep cannabis prohibition never want to bring back alcohol prohibition... that is bold face hypocrisy.

Reparations, free college, free health care, free early childhood care, legalization of pot, guaranteed federal job, universal basic income, no walls, no ICE, reduced police presence, elimination of electoral college, elimination of fossil fuels.

I guess if I was a low information voter, I’d vote for this too. It’s no longer about America, it’s about me.

What a bunch of losers.

Should be a slam-dunk for any state’s rights conservative.

You'd think so, but the drug enforcement industry is huge with lots of money. In general I've found that the biggest supporters of the 'war on drugs' are profiting from it in one way or another.

Intractable Pain Disease Patients. They want more studies, and use as medical since Pain Meds have been Forced Tapered or cut off. The Snake Oil crap doesn’t work that we are being offered.

And yes I fall in this category. But since I take Valium I’m not allowed more than post surgery low dose NORCO’s. 3 days for 2 or more weeks of severe pain. Facing Oral surgery with NO pain meds? Not going to happen. Already been through the 11 lower teeth removal with bone spur surgery on 3 days of 5 mg NORCO. Pain lasted 14 days till it got to Tylenol point for both procedures. Lyrica and Neurotin are A-Fib ER trips. Either Docs start standing up for Patients or they will find we Cancel a lot of procedures. 60 Minutes which is barely believable had an excellent piece on Intractable Pain only the idiots kept referring to it as Chronic Pain. World of difference in the 2 words.

Richard ‘Red’ Lawhern, PhD has a FB page full of articles as he is a Pain Patient Advocate. Roger Chriss, PhD with EDS, also has many well researched articles. Him you have to google.

Let me see, what votes can we buy today - cannibis addicts, felons, illegals, kids under the age of 18, whose next??

Single moms who are tired of paying for day care.
Minimum wage workers who desire a middle class lifestyle.
Anyone who is sick and tired of making student loan payments.

The list is virtually endless.

“Lyrica and Neurotin are A-Fib ER trips.”

I was unaware of this, and I have been taking gabapentin for almost ten years.

I have been on a self-induced (my choice) program for two years now to ween myself off of it. I am about half way off and may be rid of it in another year. The side effects of lowering the dosage has been, each time, similar to side effects when the dosage was too high in the beginning (3,600mg a day split into three doses).

But the A-Fib risk you mentioned I was not aware of, and it was not why I have been cutting it back. For me, on an initial accidental greatly reduced dosage one day, I noticed I had less “brain fog” in spite of feeling some greater pain. I reduced the dosage intentionally for one week and realized I had steadily less brain fog.

Now I will continue to ween myself off the gaba, for the additionally reason I learned from you as well.

Congratulations on quitting the booze for 29 years. I know several others who’ve done it, but they haven’t been able to quit the pot, yet. Saw a couple of them starting to get into a bum fight a few weeks ago and intervened to separate them. One was old, and the other was middle aged.

Wuli, I’m 1 of those people that react to so much, I have to take a print out sheet to attach to med forms.

Lots of health issues to boot. And this Fake Opioid Crisis has interfered in the quality of life I do have. I need both Valium at 30 mg a day and two 5 mg NORCO with Tylenol for in between. Just to be ‘fairly’ comfortable.

Bent over in grocery store today and the Gut and back screamed, Colon still in agony and the Gastro has given up trying to find any thing that works, beyond Linzess and Miralax. Gastropresis has totally paralyzed the colon. Not from taking Opioids either, as those are Rare on his orders. ER kept saying Idiopathic Colitis. Spine is a total wreck with Stenosis. To many Cortisone shots which don’t work, just the side effects.
