On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough twice referred to Donald Trump Jr., the eldest of President Trump's children, as "Fredo." That is, of course, a reference to the fictional character Fredo Corleone, the weak, least-intelligent of the children of the Godfather, Vito Corleone.

After Scarborough's second use of "Fredo," Mika Brzezinski quietly corrected her husband: "you mean Don Jr." An unrepentant Scarborough responded: "okay, Don Jr., same thing." Panelist Steve Rattner, President Obama's former car czar, can be heard laughing in the background.

Even if it were true, which it’s not, Sonny was fiercely protective of Fredo I’m sure, and I wouldn’t want to take the chance that any other of Trump’s sons was a Sonny or a Michael.
