ABC News has obtained audio of former White House Chief of staff John Kelly during a Wednesday appearance at Duke University in which he revealed that would have worked for Hillary Clinton if she had won the White House.
During a Q&A session, Kelly was asked about a scenario in which Trump’s former Democratic rival had won the presidency and asked him to serve in her administration.
“If Hillary Clinton had called me, I would have done it,” Kelly said.
Kelly was also asked what advice he would give his successor Mik Mulvaney, to which Kelly quipped “run for it” to audience laughs, though he became more serious when he said that his successor should just tell President Donald Trump “what he needs to hear.”
ABC’s Celia Vargas reported on remarks Kelly made which also included some gentle jabs at former boss President Donald Trump including calling his tenure at the White House “the least enjoyable job I’ve ever had.” He also stressed, however, “it was the most important job I’ve ever had,” he said.
So he’s admitting being bitten by the socialism bug?

High ranking military officers usually never make good employees. They are too conditioned to giving orders that get carried out without any questions allowed. Kelly is certainly a prime example. Even though he had the title “chief-of-staff” he had to take orders from President Trump which he was not good at doing. Then he had to persuade and convince others to carry them out. Many times those others were political figures that needed a lot of persuading. He was ill equipped for the job, and he grew to hate it. He failed.
The fact that Trump is a workaholic is telling of what he expects from his staff. Work hard, and many find that difficult to do these days.

Trump my be a smart guy, but he cannot pick loyal people with the same values as himself for important jobs. Lots of personnel mistakes.

I really think the military is filled with such assholes who would have no problem mowing down Americans.
Trump is a great POTUS make no doubt about it. But, he has surrounded himself with some of the most disloyal ingrates in history. From Mattis,to Sessions, Kelly, Omorosa, Tillis, and on and on. Even Giuliani has not served him well.

And lest we forget, the campaign coffers of the Clintons and their foundation have been filled by foreign enemies, some of whom they traded for technological and military secrets all the way back to the ‘90’s.

Yep, and many more on the WH staff and elsewhere. It's tough for people like this to participate in such an extraordinary administration, government types are far more comfortable in the go along to get along mode.
