Gillette is celebrating military service members and veterans in its Every Hero Sweats, Some Never Show It" ad campaign to spotlight the lesser-known challenges many face once they transition to civilian life.
In a short film, the deodorant brand highlighted the commitment of service members to the military and their families but also shared many obstacles they face when they retire or enter the private sector.
Gillette wants to celebrate the everyday heroes who persevere through that transition all while balancing the everyday demands of their job, family life, and any number of additional challenges they face, the company said in a press release.
Gillette has teamed up with the nonprofit Operation Homefront to donate an estimated $2.5 million worth of products to military families.
The campaign comes weeks after Gillette received widespread criticism for its We Believe ad aimed at combating toxic masculinity. Critics argued the commercial assumed misogyny is rampant among Gillettes customer base and that it was using a social movement to sell razors.

Watch the video advertisement. What do you think? Is this a good step by Gillette to redeeming itself? Or is it too little, too late?
Note that they HAVE NOT come out and said "Our toxic masculinity ad was stupid beyond belief and we apologize to all American men. We fired the people who made that insulting advertisement and we are atoning by supporting our troops. We hope you will buy our men's products again."
Interestingly, Gillette disabled comments on the YouTube video page.
Not a lot of forgiveness for Gillette in the comments at the Fox News site either.
bye forever gillette! Get woke go broke
Too little too late.
Gillette already showed their contempt for us and deserves to follow the path of JCP who also showed their true colors when revealing who they really valued.
Hint: Not Christian American Patriots.
Too late.
We know where their hearts really lie.
Sorry, not interested.
Apologize for your last attack on Men and maybe, just maybe I forgive you. In the meantime, I don’t buy your products.
I liked that the brothers had to step in and stop the white rapist animals 3 or 4 times in that ad. :)
You thought this tripe "brilliant" when you ran it.

Exploitation on the uniform to sell razors. And pandering propaganda.
Screw Gillette, I am not fooled for a minute. Some things you can’t undo. That’s just how it is.
That was nice. I actually wanted to watch the whole thing as opposed to the other commercial.
They are dead to me.
They were all I used before that ad.
Smart advertising.
Until they apologize and denounce the oppressive men video they will never get my business again.
Already went through the house and tossed very Gillette razor.
Not buying that brand again.
So. The toxic soldiers return and hopefully are seen rocking babies and letting their daughters paint their nails. Also having castrations.

Shouldn’t be. Gillette went all feminazi and soy boy.
I will specifically avoid their products. If there are some leftovers at 90%-90% off, then I might take the leftovers.
Good riddance to Gillette.
yep
Ditto.
Trying to recover from the pr disaster that their last campaign was. I think its condescending and insulting. Screw em. I still wont buy any of their products. Theyre still treating their customers like stupid knuckle draggers.
