Article synopsis:

Hundreds from Grant, Hidalgo, Luna and other counties attended a packed meeting Saturday at Deming’s First United Methodist Church gymnasium to express anger over human trafficking, increased apprehensions of illegals at the border, and overall immigration policy. Not there were representatives from the U.S. Border Patrol or other law enforcement agencies, nor were invited congressional staff representatives present. The event was organized by Russ Howell, chairman of the Luna County Republican Party.

There were loud standing ovations following calls to “build the damn wall” and loud jeers and boos of New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the state’s congressional delegation. All are Democrats. The new governor said in a February statement that she saw no “overwhelming national security crisis” at the border.

A member of a cattle ranching family on the border in Luna County reported dangerous encounters with drug traffickers, cattle lost to infectious diseases brought by illegals, and frequent destruction of property including the scorching of land from signal fires.

Beyond border security, other complaints included immigration laws which are exploited by narcotics traffickers and human smugglers. Some speakers suggested the federal government was more concerned for the rights of immigrants than for citizens who feel threatened.

With more and more Americans walking away from the ‘RAT party, the ‘RATS’ want to make sure they have the votes to prevent a landslide in 2020.

Some people are beginning to wake up. The feds, both sides of the aisle, hate citizens and embrace and fund illegals. It is simply criminals supporting criminals

A billion dollars could run solid barrier and good patrol road the length of the New Mexico/Mexico border - about 200 miles at about $4 million per mile, with some extra for the tough spots.

It could probably be built in two years, maybe three.

The meeting is in the wrong location.

It needs to be in front of the Governer's house and offices.

That's what the proglibs do and it gets a LOT of press coverage.

Good synopsis of the article, CedarDave.

What’s your assessment of the situation in NM? Do you have enough sheriffs in the state to establish pro-2nd amendment santuary zones?

Remember, the situation is to ignore the authority of the state, just as sanctuary cities refuse to accept the authority of President Trump.

Can you print up big, honking billboards in your counties stating that “we do not recognize the authority of this fascist governor.”

Do that and scare the crap out of the weenie SJW in the colleges.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blatantly obvious for years that BOTH parties are more concerned for fraudulently documented foreigners than for the citizens.
We will not get real border security until we replace Bush League Republicans with patriots.
The article is written by a member of A.N.S.W.E.R. a communist sympathizing antiwar group. He constantly puts the term “illegals” in ironic quotes.
Jerk.
Trump's been President for 2 years folks. Can't blame Obama or Bush anymore. I know that parts of the wall are being built, but those steel barricades doesn't look like they can keep out thousands of 3rd world mofos.
We need a physical concrete and steel wall on the border
Let Trump make the arrangements.
He knows how to get it done before Christmas.
We need armed military patrols on the border.
And they need rules-of-engagement which authorize use of lethal force, including cross-border assaults on any hostile armed forces.
That will do for starter measures. There are a lot more non-military actions we need as well.
As far as I know, all of the NM counties except Bernalillo, Dona Ana, Santa Fe and Taos have stated that they will not enforce the goofy anti 2nd Amendment crap passed by the Legislature. Of course, these are the counties where the Libtards live.
Okay, create a large folding map pin pointing safe clean water locations- a lot of them, for the safety of these guests. Print each location and further identify it as about 50 feet or so from a certain colored house which so happens to belong to a councilman, mayor, governor- all of their staff and families.
Print thousands of copies and distribute.
Thanks for the info Dave. I’m glad to see some of the county officials and the NM Republican Party actually trying to do something. Disgusted but not surprised that the Feds and State don’t give a dang about what us rural hick peasants want.
