Mueller is funded until SEPTEMBER - raising doubts Russia probe is anywhere near finished

Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the team he assembled to investigate U.S. President Donald Trump and his associates have been funded through the end of September 2019, three U.S. officials said on Monday, an indication that the probe has funding to keep it going for months if need be.

The operations and funding of Mueller's office were not addressed in the budget requests for the next government fiscal year issued by the White House and Justice Department on Monday because Mueller's office is financed by the U.S. Treasury under special regulations issued by the Justice Department, the officials said.

'The Special Counsel is funded by the Independent Counsel appropriation, a permanent indefinite appropriation established in the Department's 1988 Appropriations Act,' a Justice Department spokesman said.

Who funded the coup attempt to go until September? Perhaps a coup attempt should be funded for them through March.

“Ninety days before the beginning of a federal government fiscal year, which starts on Oct. 1, special counsels such as Mueller ‘shall report to the Attorney General the status of the investigation and provide a budget request for the following year,’ according to the regulations.

Department officials said that under these regulations, a special counsel should request funding for the next fiscal year by the end of June.”

Such simple minds.

The Military is funded for some time to come. I guess that means there is definitely going to be a war.

Attorney General William Barr is best friends with Robert Mueller. I don’t see this ending ever. I don’t understand how Barr became Attorney General.

Is Barr hiding under his desk?

Doesn’t`t imply Mueller has the goods on POTUS.

It does imply death of a thousand cuts and can continue with his perjury traps and insinuation by indictment.

Low-info voters love that stuff.

Will he release his report in coming days as reported? Will he open a new investigation? There was never a crime reported so no justification for a Special Counsel. Will he arrest himself and all involved? Arresting and prosecuting all involved in the coup attempt is all that makes sense. The next is how do you execute the coup participants. I prefer something slow like being tied down over an ant bed.

Here is what I think.

After Hillary’s shocking defeat, some important members of the Deep State got together and decided that Trump could not be allowed to have a normal presidency. A lot of options were probably considered. I suspect both immediate impeachment due to entirely fake evidence and a “JFK” approach were rejected because they were aware that this country has enough people in it that would see such an obvious coup for what it was and react violently. Since they’re not quite at the point yet where they can put down such a rebellion without risking their own skins, they went for the current approach - a slow investigation that takes years and causes the President enough problems to make leading the country extremely difficult and future election victories (both in the midterms and the next general) a lot less likely. Bonus is that they’ve got a recycled enemy card (Russia) which they can pull out any time they need to scare the public about this or that.

They're forgetting the part where the Deplorables might decide that future presidents that they don't like will not be allowed to have a normal presidency.

We have a precedent in their actions, after all - but we can't use the Media or the government bureaucracy like they did.

The Deep State isn't gonna like the form that takes...

Combine that with what, 8 House Committees investigating Trump.
Keep up the constant negative narrative up to election day.

“The Special Counsel is funded by the Independent Counsel appropriation, a permanent indefinite appropriation”

...so we are not going to see the status/future prospects of investigations revealed in budget requests - one way or the other. Probably by design.

Yep and they will always ask for a full year of funding until they are done.

Well, then maybe Trump can appoint an Independent Counsel to build a wall along our Southern Border.

Exactly and the top dems are suppressing impeachment as we speak. They would much rather have two years of investigation and innuendo than impeachment and exoneration.
