Administration Mods, the title would not fit as originally used in article, as it was more than 100 characters. I apologise; I do not know how to accommodate.

...... lawmakers in Texas have introduced a gun sanctuary bill that would apply to the entire state. If it passes, it would essentially nullify nearly all federal gun control laws within the state: Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood) filed Senate Bill 378 (SB378) on January 17. The bill would prohibit any state government agency, personnel or public funds from enforcing any federal gun control regulation or law if the federal statute, order, rule, or regulation or international law imposes a prohibition, restriction, or other regulation, such as a capacity, size, or configuration limitation, that does not exist under the laws of this state....... Let's hope all states (or most of them grab onto this).

The supreme law of the land has died and leftists with their illegal immigration, sanctuary cities and finding all kinds of rights never written in the Constitution, like on demand abortion, have killed it.

This development would put a fascinating juxtaposition before the Supreme Court: a Texas state law expressly in support of an express right contained in the Bill of Rights, the Second Amendment, juxtaposed against a California state law expressly in opposition to an exclusive area of federal responsibility, immigration.
The case would likely go rabidly to the Supreme Court, perhaps as a matter of original jurisdiction. The question would be how to set it up so that the leftist on the Supreme Court would be put in a position where their hypocrisy would be exposed in supporting sanctuary but opposing the Second Amendment.

“...lawmakers in Texas have introduced a gun sanctuary bill that would apply to the entire state.”
We used to have the 2nd Amendment to do that for us until the meaning of the phrase “the right to bear arms shall not be infringed” became hidden in a penumbra.

I like it.
It re-asserts States rights, puts the feds on notice. From here they could go after other issues the feds are apparently afraid-to or unable-to address: border security, voter fraud. Go Texas, lead the way.
It turns the left's tactics against them. Not that this would prevent the left from virulently attacking the Texas law. Hypocrisy and double standards have never been a problem for the left, they live and breath them.

Brotha Art(HPD) will be so crestfallen. The man has never met a gun control law he wasn’t enamored of or a crisis that he can’t twist to suit his anti-gun agenda.
