I like Dolly, as she seems to be a fairly down to earth woman. However, it really doesn't matter what her preferences are in this kind of a case. If the campaign is paying the appropriate ASCAP fees, she has no say at all. Same thing goes for liberal ninnies who try to tell Trump he can't use their music. An ASCAP fee wouldn't cover this song, or any song by Dolly for that matter, all of her music is licensed under BMI. BTW, I've worked with Dolly in the past as a tech, she and her crew are some of the nicest in the industry.

You mean she didn’t have Nathan Phillips and his tom-tom pounding as her warm-up act? I’m disappointed.

I’m sure that Cher would allow Liarwatha to use her ‘Cherokee Nation’ song, lol.

I believe you're thinking of Cher's song "Half Breed" but Warren wouldn't use that.

If it’s her song and she said ‘ I don’t approve’ ( publicly) but did nothing about it, it was just lip service.

I find her garishly disingenuous

“But, she’s no Republican, she’s come out in favor of several quite liberal causes over the years. No, she’s not a screaming leftie but she’s not one of us either, so don’t get too carried away.”

And I am okay if she supported some lib causes because at the end of the day, she is an uplifting person who adds to humanity and makes the world a better place without telling everyone how great she is. She makes people happy. She is a people person so its expected some social causes will grab her interest.

Maybe should could change the chorus from “Half-Breed” to “1/1024 Breed”.

Jane Fonda didn’t WRITE that song-—Dolly did.

Warren: “Only working 9-5, got no time for a real job”

Yeah, I know Dolly was the songwriter... you guys are right about who did the music and owns the copyright.

But, I think about the movie more than the song. And, the three stars (Dolly, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlinson) were equal co-stars in the picture. Great chemistry.

So, Jane’s in my mind as well, when I hear any reference to “9 to 5”. Hanoi Jane.

FWIW, where I was coming from.

Haha! Cher’s hit song was Half Breed. That’s appropriate!
