Hard Brexit coming. The EU has no incentive to give concessions, they are playing brinksmanship.

They are basicly saying screw you, we are going to make this as painful as possible, to the Brits

no Brexit coming. The will of the people is secondary to the government in the UK. Maybe tertiary. this is a a slow grimy dance to correct the peasantry’s mistaken vote. The EU is a progressive, inevitable process to better European society, enrich with new cultural values from other regions and religions of the world, and ultimately save us all from the despair of sovereignty, faith, and Liberty.

unless they can find a British Trump.

Those who originally voted for BREXIT, wanted completely out of the EU. The government was supposed to cooperate with the vote, but like Trump being elected, they were over-confident that the anti-Brexiters would win that vote. May has been trying to renege on the deal, ever since. I don’t know with whom conservatives would like to replace her, but almost any conservative would be better than her.

Instead of "Hard Brexit", lets call it a "Clean Brexit".

I’ll bet there’s no hard Brexit. They vote on a “no deal” Brexit tomorrow, which will fail. Then they vote on an Article 50 extension on Thursday, which will probably pass. Currently, the extension will only be until the next EU elections in late May, but there’s no way they get a new deal by then and I don’t see May breaking the deadlock in Parliament by then.

If they reach the new, late May deadline without a deal, I’ll expect a second, much longer extension, which will give the “Remainers” time to get a second referendum, which I’d bet Brexit will narrowly lose.

What concession do you want the EU to give? Did you read the article? The British parliament rejected this deal because it keeps the RoI-NI border open while the Breciteers want a hard border. But a hard border gors against the good Friday agreement that the UK signed. What do you want the EU to concede on the Irish border issue?

This is where the British system of having to be an elected MP to stand for Leader of the Party to run for Prime Minister sucks. They’re a bunch of clowns and the fact Jeremy Corbyn’s victory as Labour leader was hailed as an outsider achievement is quite funny given he’s been an MP for 35 years.

TPTB don’t give a darn what the people voted for and want nothing to do with Brexit. They’ll get their second referendum which will, no doubt, turn out the other way. The media over there has been pushing a “The morons didn’t really know what they were voting for” storyline since the day after the initial referendum.

Hard Brexit coming.

I'll be surprised if the New World Order permits Brexit to happen. Watch and see if the deadline later this month fades off into the distance.

What do you give as the odds that there will be a Referendum again and this time the vote will be to stay.

Well, there’s that old common bond of language between the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Jamaica...

I hope there is a hard no-deal brexit

But I've asked you before - what kind of concessions do you expect the EU to give?

The EU in the past already gave the UK concessions - the Euro, EUROPOL, the Schengen area, the UK rebate, the rebate on the rebate.

The EU had always stated upfront that it cannot and will not compromise its Four Freedoms (as the very existence of the EU was founded on these principles), but everything else was negotiable. It was Mrs May who drew up her “Red Lines” in 2017 which severely curtailed the scope of EU negotiations, resulting in the following very limited options:

The EU’s Brexit concessions include:

What they haven’t done, because they can’t, is abandoned the central principles of the EU: That the four freedoms are indivisible; that getting privileges requires accepting rules and sharing costs (a la Norway, Switzerland, etc.); that getting all trade benefits means being exclusive (not cutting your own deals outside). And that the UK signed a deal for the open border between NI and RoI

What more concessions do you want?
