Some Republicans Now Want Gun Confiscation
Ammoland ^ | March 12, 2019 | Michael Hammond

Washington, DC – -(AmmoLand.com)- It’s been said quite often that Republicans are the “Stupid Party.”

Well, the party of stupid has struck again, and “Exhibit A” is the Republican Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee — Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

Based on what Graham is doing, one would think he’s planning to forfeit control of the Senate to the Democrats and to lose the White House in 2020. Because he is holding a hearing to promote the nastiest form of Bloomberg-sponsored gun control.

As it turns out, Graham and his new “best buddy,” anti-gun zealot Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), are scheduling a hearing on Gun Confiscation Orders — sugar-coated as “red-flag laws” — on March 26 of this month.

Gun Confiscation “red-flag” Orders were drafted and are being promoted nationally by Leftist anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

They would allow an angry relative or the police to make a telephone call to a judge. And, based on that telephone call, the judge can issue an order stripping you of your Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights — all without your knowledge.

The first thing you would learn about it is when the SWAT Team arrived at your door in the middle of the night — ready to ransack your home and, if you resisted, to arrest or shoot you.

Let’s make one thing perfectly clear: Gun Confiscation Orders would not have stopped ANY mass shooting in American history — and they do NOTHING to reduce homicides, suicides, crime, or mass shootings.

Gun Confiscation “red-flag” laws have been proven to be ineffective:

He found that red flag laws have been an utter failure when it comes to lowering crime rates:

So if red flag laws don’t make people safer, what are they good for? In short, they are just another effort by gun-hater Bloomberg to “put points on the board.” To date, only two key Senate bills imposing Gun Confiscation Orders have been introduced (S. 7 and S. 506). But more such bills are expected.

So now is the time to contact your Senators and demand that they oppose this dangerous legislation.

In Liberty,

Michael Hammond
Legislative Counsel

RINO’s voting for gun confiscation laws are not doing so in the interest of public safety. Most are perfectly capable of of understanding that taking guns away from law abiding citizens does not reduce crime.

What it does is improve their image with the MSM. In blue states, it improves their chances of reelection.

It’s all about keeping the power of their elected position. SCREW THE PEOPLE!! It’s how the swamp works.

For what it’s worth, just called Grahams office and both my Senators, voicing my opposition to these hearings.

I urge you all not to sit idly by and let this happen just because Republicans are the ones who are doing it. It can and will be used against you...

You are correct. Battle lines are being drawn at this time.

Gun control is not about crime fighting, prevention, or control.

The sole and only purpose, end, and goal of gun control is people control. The sole and only reason one group of people wants to control another group of people is to eliminate [read slaughter them]. At this point in time, we are the them. Govern yourself accordingly.

I warned 6 months ago when the Graham 2.0 rah-rah crowd was in awe of his Kavenaugh performance that Graham is a professional turncoat and will be back to which-ever-way-the-wind-blows as soon as the direction changes.

For those not in the New England states, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts are in the process of robbing people of their constitutional rights and they're not at all bashful about their coordinated efforts to do so.

With Graham in their corner, they successfully compromise the Judiciary Committee and score another toe-hold on succeeding in their ambitions.

As soon as the elderly parents find solace in "going home", I'm bailing out of NJ. I'll not settle my son in this communist enclave. The voters in SC need to break the machine and send him on his way.

I agree that Red Light laws violate the Constitution, but the headline is not validated by the article.

There is nothing in the article showing that any Republicans favor a nationwide Red Light law. It only says that Sen. Graham is holding hearings on it, and doesn’t mention any other Republicans. It doesn’t even say whether Graham supports such a law.

What is it that we need to “hear” about such laws?

You are conflating some with all. That is a rather amateurish mistake

Have we reached peak illegals?

“our representatives” must believe they have enough dumbed down citizens and or
illegal replacements that they can now
completely ignore us?
As well as enough corrupt representatives to go along?

The GOP is the enemy of the people. They are just trying not to appear that way.

The mask is slipping, or has slipped.

This isn’t news to most of us here.

It only says that Sen. Graham is holding hearings on it,

Why the hell is he "holding hearings" on the topic? No possible good could come of such idiocy.

*****As soon as the elderly parents find solace in “going home”, I’m bailing out of NJ.******

I moved out of NJ 7 years ago to PA. Even though it’s light years better than the Socialist Republic of NJ, it’s turning more and more Blue each year as NY and NJ Dems escape NJ to make PA like NJ/NY.....Dumb!!!

My only regret is not moving further West, but at this point the entire country is being swallowed up by radical ideology. Either way, I did not buy firearms to hand them over to the entity they’re sole purpose is to protect me from......

This is not the only news article on this subject. Marco Rubio has submitted a red-flag bill in the Senate and President Trump has even gone so far as to say that he supports taking the guns first and going through due process second.

No, it’s not.

The GOP has no agenda other than the Left’s agenda.

It only moves in one direction. Left.

What is an amateurish mistake is believing that either of our political parties is on any of our sides, and that applies to both sides and all of us.

These people are the enemies of every free person in this country.

They (Red Flag gun laws) may even INCREASE the incidence of rape.

What is the reasoning behind that statement? Fewer armed women to shoot rapists?
