U.S.-backed Syrian forces on Tuesday seized control of an encampment held by the Islamic State group in eastern Syria, after hundreds of militants surrendered overnight, a spokesman said, signaling the groups collapse after months of stiff resistance. A group of suspects involved in a January bombing that killed four Americans in northern Syria were among militants captured by the Kurdish-led forces. The taking of the IS camp was a major advance but not the final defeat of the group in Baghouz. Still, fighters from the force were starting to celebrate anyway.

Well, that was really insensitive considering new zealand happened mere days ago
To ISIS....He lied. :-)
lol
our troops should have surrendered their deadly arms :)
Excellent progress.
Hope it continues.
He who kills and sneaks away will live to kill another day.
Thinking Assad is going to have to make a decision soon about his own country and how he wants to move forward in the future.
Well, can’t find this on google earth - or at least the resolution is piss-poor. Censored, I’m assuming.
At the SDF outpost in Baghouz, a commander danced with his soldiers. Fighters said remaining ISIS militants didn't put up much resistance.
"We fired on them with our rifles and heavy weapons and they didn't shoot back. So we walked into the camp and they didn't shoot at us,"
Trucks were convoying the captured and surrendered remnants of ISIS (about 1,500) - including hundreds of wounded.
Those sorry bastards remaining bunched up in the basically flat, open riverbank are the last hurrah for the supporting artillery unit (French).
“cant find this on google earth”

Give B-52s some practice
ISIS have been soundly defeated thanks to the masterful strategy of Trump !
Never forget, they were on the verge of conquering Europe under Obozzo!
Walk through video of the ISIS last stand camp. With no toilets for the last few weeks, and thousands of people crammed in, it must smell pretty ripe. But the place did seem to be on fire every night.

Obozo called them the J V team.
Trump made it so.
It looked to me like the place was shot all to hell.
I saw destruction. I saw no bodies. I saw a stack of what looked like round bread. In one pic it looked as if the water table was only about a foot or so down
ping
You can bet there were bodies, but the Kurds don’t show them.
The bread they are bringing in to distribute to new detainees.
They are right next to a big river (Euphrates), within its floodplain. The water table can’t be too deep - definitely none of the big caverns that some posted pictures of on twitter (pictures from Yemen had been posted as Baghouz)
According to the Google map the part that they are in is actually in Iraq.
It is just on the Syrian side of the border.
