I’m sorry to disagree. Human trafficking, sex slavery, is so wrong it may necessitate intrusive police work. Some innocents may get spied upon.

I’m fine with legalizing prostitution. A victimless crime as long as all the workers have rights. Such as the right to not work, the right of human freedom, and the right to be paid for their job.

Sex slavery is abhorrent. The slaves are often underaged or in other ways naive and dependent. It’s the worst of humanity. There are plenty of young men and women (of age) who would willingly work in the sex trade. I feel very strongly about this.

Yaelle, there are no little girls in strip-mall massage parlors.
Underage sex slavery is one thing we’re NOT tackling.
(And, if it’s not in the US, should we be?)
The U.N. has been the world leader in:
1. Convincing US taxpayers to support it’s efforts to combat underage sex trafficking,
and
2. Soliciting underage girls for sex all over the world.
Hell, one day, will be filled with UN employees and pansy aped “soldiers.” I’ve seen them.
This is NOT what is going on at the local strip mall in TX where for an extra twenty bucks the Chinese (?) lady might touch a man’s genitals.
This is our government using an important issue - one you care about - to attack political opponents.
I know you pretty well Yaelle from your posts. I know you are worldly and wise, and that you’ve seen some things.
I could tell you some nightmare stories about things I saw - what the Bedouins do, for instance - and the abuse of actual girls.
This is NOT that.
These women are in the same trade as the illegal dishwasher at the chain restaurant across the street...
Just here to make some cash.
And their bosses are every bit as cruel as the coyotes...
And American Citizens should not be spied on like Soviets.
Instead, deport the illegals.
Let’s remember who we are.

Then let the police show us the women who were enslaved. Ah, but there weren't any.

How would you like cops taking videos of you naked for the purported "greater good"?

Couldn't the cops have just performed wellness checks to make sure no women were being held there involuntarily?
