The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday announced that it is siding with a district court ruling that found the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional.

The move is an escalation of the Trump administration's legal battle against the health care law.

The DOJ previously argued in court that the law's pre-existing condition protections should be struck down. Now, the administration argues the entire law should be invalidated......

There WAS a insurance that covered pre existing conditions. It was the PCIP plan AND it was underwritten by the US government.

Obamacare took care of that.

Know what that plan would have cost me prior to this crap? 134 bucks a month and it had about a 2300 dollar deductable and it was 100% after the deductable for major medical. It was 80/20 for office visits up to a certain amount, then 100%

If I remember right. I came within a couple months of being able to get on it and then along came Obamacare.

The ACA needs to be scrapped and Congress needs to start over. I pay 811 a mo for myself for a 80/20 plan and a $4,000 deductible. That’s ridiculous.

It’s important to remember that, while the deep state is powerful (enough to start wars, play with economies, frame enemies, and so forth), they are ultimately still human. They have weaknesses, their own internal disagreements/divisions, and can be defeated (if not for all time, then battle by battle).

Does this mean I won’t have to show the dagumed IRS proof of insurance? Freaking tax law should have never been.

In 2013, my plan cost about $130 per month, plus $20 co-pay for any medical visit. Doctor appt. for a cold or open-heart surgery, $20 per visit.

When the ACA really kicked in, in 2014, my plan cost $650 per month plus a $1500 deductible.

In 2016 - 2018 I paid $550 per month with a $4200 deductible. I reached that deductible in 2017.

I would like Obamacare reparations.

I wonder if this affects my 2018 taxes. I had no health insurance. Will I still have to pay the penalty?

It’s almost like the media wants to change the subject, and is now force to report news, rather than Russia, Russia Russia.

What will be left for the second term?

Seriously? If President Trump doesn't magically eliminate the invaders, America's descent into the abyss is going to be complete in two decades. I say "magically", because they are like cockroaches that came into the house via paper shopping bags: we'll never get rid of them.

Only 2014? My rates started going up massively and benefits sharply declined after the bummer got elected in 2008.

Great.

Yet, it still does NOTHING to correct the past (IE: *nothing* vs. ‘judges’ re-writing law nor Congress passing illegal, unconst. bills).

Lastly, relying upon the courts, which got us in this predicament in the 1st place, for “solutions\corrections” is just looking for (more) trouble....special kind of stupid, IMO.

Looks like Bill Barr has found a couple things for the Justice Department to do beyond Sleepy Jeff Sessions’ marijuana prosecutions.
