Absolutely. He’s cost cutting and making it more “efficient”. Meaning he’s reducing as much overhead as possible so he and shareholders can pocket more money. Fine. That’s America. That’s capitalism. But...
Not everyone that worked for Fox Movies was some radical liberal, leftist. They are normal, hardworking folks like the admin folks, electricians, maintenance folks, etc.
I watched and was part of something like this in 2017 when a hedge fund took over CSX Railroad and started firing about 30% or more of it’s workforce. Even though the railroad had a record year, the year prior and was going to lose that many folks due to retirements in the coming years.
My point....I don’t see the networks, Axios, The Nation, The Atlantic, HuffPo, Wash Post, or anyone else rushing to the homes of any of these 4000 folks doing stories on them. Why not? First because it’s Disney and run by the Left. Second, there’s no way they can spin this to blame the President, for now.
Life sucks.

I will not cheer their loss, but I do not expect them to morn mine if it happens.
I wanted to be a farmer. That didn’t happen. Many of my family and friends (more than 4000) in that same Nebraska are looking at a hundred years of history wiped out in a flood.
Life sucks. Adapt, overcome, move to something new.
Disney will probably shut down the comic book division of Marvel.
They are strip mining the stories, not growing them.

I worked at Universal 1971 - 1975. I owned my own house then, and I never made $15 an hour then.
I still only bill $20 an hour for my bookkeeping/accounting skills & have one client I have done books for for over 49 years.
Whenever there is a “Merger” the senior company will have duplication all over the landscape. These layoffs are normal.
The biggest problem these people have is that they are in a small job market.
I have done accounting all my life, and I never was without a job in So Calif.
In 1970 I had my own apartment at 1.65 an hour. big difference then and now.

The Cat Mosum Road is pretty well known in these parts, too.
We have lots of The roads with “The.” Most of the roads say what town they are heading to: The Portland Road, The Standish Road....
