Kirstjen Nielsen Resigns as DHS Secretary in Midst of Border Surge [Lady Daca]
Breitbart ^ | 4/7/2019 | John Binder

Nielsen’s resignation as DHS secretary comes amid a surge of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border and an expanded Catch and Release policy that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has been tasked with carrying out.

During Nielsen’s tenure as DHS secretary, illegal immigration has increased nearly every month over the last year and a half. Simultaneously, the Trump administration has yet to construct a border wall on new land at the southern border that did not previously have barriers built by the Bush and Obama administrations.

Most recently, officials with the National ICE Council accused Nielsen of “grossly” mismanaging DHS and failing to acknowledge that the agency had been operating an expanded Catch and Release policy for border crossers and illegal aliens for months.

As Breitbart News chronicled, Nielsen previously served in the Bush administration overseeing a crisis team following the destruction of New Orleans, Louisiana, by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Bush administration had waved federal regulations to allow an unlimited level of illegal immigration into the Gulf Coast to take low-skill jobs rebuilding the region. Nielsen previously chaired a World Economic Forum committee that authored a report praising mass migration into Europe. For her confirmation process to DHS, Nielsen worked with an assortment of allies that worked vigorously in the 2016 presidential election to oppose Trump, including Frances Townsend and Tom Ridge.

Protégé of Kelly and Bush League Republican.

We will never get border security and a return to enforcement from Bush League Republicans.
They are fully committed to turning the USA into North Mexico.

Graham, McConnell, etc., all have to be replaced.

5 Dec 2017 Washington, D.C.

The United States Senate voted to confirm former President George W. Bush bureaucrat Kirstjen Nielsen to lead the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) despite her ties to the “Never Trump” movement and seemingly having no experience working on immigration-related issues.

The Senate confirmed Nielsen in a 62-37 vote on Tuesday, making her the new head of the agency which is tasked with carrying out President Trump’s pro-American immigration reform agenda.

When Nielsen was chosen by Trump to lead DHS, members of the failed “Never Trump” movement, Breitbart News reported, immediately praised her nomination as a win for the national security establishment. Never Trumpers championing Nielsen’s nomination included pro-amnesty DHS Secretary Tom Ridge, former Bush official Frances Townsend, and former DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff.

Previously, as Breitbart News extensively reported,

President Trump has had a terrible track record of hiring to stop the illegal alien inundation.
To be fair, most of the pool of people he’s hiring from are Bush League Republicans hell bent on turning the USA into North Mexico.

There just HAVE to be people he could appoint that side with the citizens and the rule of law.

We need a Gen. Joe Swinger.

He led Ike’s successful “Operation Wetback” that rounded up and repatriated hundred of thousands and caused millions to leave on their own.

I think I’d resign too. President is far too passive and taking too much shit without mounting a counter offensive.

She was on some fox show this week ‘answering’ questions about the invasion

She identified the invaders as migrants while smiling, smarmy Bush-league-like.

No.

Out

For those who don’t know....

Besides her public support for DACA Amnesty, Nielsen also hired a Chief of Staff who was a former H-1B lobbyist.

Trump, apparently, had no problem with those decisions - until they became politically inconvenient.

I think Nielsen was a protege of Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly (who was as worthless as Nielsen, as far as I’m concerned). She was never the appropriate person to make meaningful change in the U.S.’s open door, look the other way immigration system.

We need someone like Kobach or Tancredo in this position, not another compromised Chamber of Corruption candidate.

The Senate is not going to confirm an effective DHS Secretary.

There are strong open borders majorities in both Houses of Congress, and the only way forward is for us, not for Trump, to change that.

They didn’t confirm her DESPITE her Never Trump ties, they confirmed her BECAUSE of those ties.

Yes, we MUST replace the Bush League Republicans with people that side with the citizens and the rule of law.

How many times must they betray us before we stop voting for them?

Graham and Rubio in particular.

Have you ever thought that the President knows the immigration and border crisis is a winning campaign issue for him. Why would he not want this crisis to increase exponentially, as it has?

Of course he wants to appear that he is getting “tough” and he would be successful if it wasn’t for those MS-13 supporting Democrats and those ultra-liberal judges. But the ever increasing flood plays into his hands for campaigning and reelection.

Welcome to political calculus 101.

The other explanation would be that he has run the absolutely worst Presidential personnel management effort in history. A complete dunce about most of his top hires. It really is one or the other.
