IF THEY’RE SO ####ING GOOD WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR INCENTIVES?!?!?!??!
I didn’t need an incentive from the government to buy my Dodge Challenger.
I’m surprised they didn’t give me an incentive not to.
Ya know gas burning and all.
Unconstitutional. Along with 90% of everything else the federal government does.
NO DAMNED SUBSIDIES! The price of the product is an approximate measure of the resources including power use necessary to produce the good. Electric vehicles obviously require more resources and ultimately more power and thus produce,in production and again over the life of the vehicle, more pollution.
Can you say Solyndra?
Tax credits are fine. Its YOUR money
“Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Susan Collins, R-Maine”
The usual RINO sispects.
No....just no....There are other cars available....and if no one wants these....so be it.
Bipartisan, eh?
Who are the GOP’ers for this? They should be primaried.
Make like Nancy Reagan and just say “NO”.
Politicians learned long ago that a working model of graft consists of imposing taxes on everyone, then exempting your political allies. It’s beautifully deceptive in how it hides fascism in plain sight.
I just bought a new Chevy Bolt. The tax credits are MY MONEY. Besides tax credits there was a $11,000 dealer discount/rebates. It was like getting the car for $18750! Driving 20,000 mile year I will save $3000/yr on gas over electricity cost. The car will be free in 7 years! It is a fun car to drive too. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds.
Sens. Gary Peters, D-Mich., Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Rep. Dan Ki

Just a ridiculous waste
There is 0% chance current EV technology will completely replace our current gas powered vehicles. There is not enough of the rare earth materials used to make the batteries and the magnets in the motors to do so.
Of course they’re going to bundle all these goodies in one giant omnibus bill as close as possible to the deadline so Trump is backed into a corner again.
More good money after bad.
Musk will spend it setting up a Chinese plant and hiring Chinese slave labor.
One of many companies that would not be able to survive absent BIG PUBLIC SUBSIDIES.
In a very real sense, capitalism is already dead.
No No and Heck NO!!!
