"Medication to end their lives" is an intelligence-insulting euphemism for poison. Those who advocate this either have forgotten or never learned the history of what happens in a society where physicians are recruited into the killing business.

I'm willing to get out of the way of someone determined to off himself. All I ask is you don't corrupt the medical profession on your way out!

The terminally ill want new treatments.

And all the Dems offer is suicide.

My mother who was 6 weeks short of 94 and dying of lymphoma asked for that option while still livid. Instead she lingered on for 3 more days unconscious in hospice.

Flame away.

My father lasted perhaps 48 hours in hospice when he was dying of hepatoma. Never once did it cross either of our minds to engage in a murderous act.

Went through a similar situation with my father, and I still would never consider it.
I didn’t put myself on this earth, and I feel it’s not my place to remove myself either.
Sorry you had to experience that.
My experience hurt more than I ever imagined!

murderous act///

I’m glad you and your father got through the last 48 hours without him requesting any extraordinary measures to end the pain.

However, do not accuse my mother of requesting someone murder her for the same end.

If it’s any consolation to you, she gasped with her mouth open, unconscious, for her last 3 days before she died.

They say they are for “dignity” of life. But how are they to know what only our Heavenly Father knows about when life ends? This is just a ploy to get rid of what they consider “useless eaters” so that they can spend it on illegals who will provide a longer life span of Demonrat votes.

The alternative is a very messy ending with a bullet. I'd prefer the managed approach.

"Assisted suicide" can be messy with complications, too. You cannot rely on it to be quick and painless.

Hmm ... making it easier for people in New Jersey to kill themselves.

Is there supposed to be a downside to this?

You’re right; with socialism the focus is on taxable contributors, not untaxable financial drains. Remember the conversation about “death panels” with ObamaCare?

It’s not me who would be making such an accusation.

And your insult towards my father is noted.

The only way one would burden one’s family is if the government had policies in place to create conditions making an elder into a burden, particularly in a financial sense. What we’re seeing here is the age-old tyrannical tactic of creating a problem and having a political “solution” follow on its heels.
