As another Freeper pointed out, how does this “God made me this way” argument play out when talking about transgenders? If “God made” you with a male body... maybe pouring chemicals and hormones into it and then taking a knife to it is... against God’s plan? I mean, they’d never accept a medical treatment to fix the mind, but they’ll do all sorts of nonsense to the body.
I have known a few gays who were comfortable with what they were because they were not the self-loathing narcissists most gays are. However, it appears that a great many are the self-loathing narcissist type. They have to legislate acceptance of their lifestyles before they can be comfortable in their own skin. Eventually, they will have to start interning or executing Christians and others who disapprove.

I know many who are also comfortable and not the least bit ‘activist’. We have different opinions and that’s ok. We really do get along well with mutual respect.
Perhaps, as you noted it is the narcissist type that demands attention causing discourse.

with Obama’s black turnout in 2008, Trump would not have beaten him; in 2012, might have been interesting, it being difficult for some groups of people to vote every four years...
But Trump would have destroyed him before he got out of the gate.
The turnout with Trump in the race would have been much different.
What I don’t entirely get is why his/their particular sexual preference becomes their identity. I’m heterosexual, it’s contextual but that’s probably one of very few times Ive said that. If they asked it on the census, I’d answer, but beyond that, it’s not the focus of who I am. But if you’re gay, or transexual, or any of the multi sexual identies, that’s apparently who you are, evidenced by the necessity to proclaim it to the world. Whether they want to know or not. It’s odd. I might suggest that heterosexuality being normal, or “normal”, it’s not a constant focus of ones life, Bill Clinton excepted. But suggesting “normal” exists would make me a dozen kinds of bigot.
May have been, I guess I don't care, like whether Jefferson slept with his slave, or it was his brother. If he was, the dems should proudly claim what imo was our worst President, pro slavery and gay.
