I used to own much smaller ships.

And I actually caught my crew ...well sort of ....after the fact....putting a few kilos of perico in our welding tanks and scuba gear and lord knows where else

We were running Miragoane Haiti back and forth to Miami and coke in Haiti was maybe 3-5000 a key and 15,000 or so in Miami....late 80s....Miami thanks to Cali and Harold Ackerman...look him up....was awash in toot

Anyhow my Polish chief and mate had made a deal apparently. I fired em which is about all I could do safely

My point is the crew on a ship like that if saavy has incalculable places to hide a lot of cocaine never to be detected and can walk it out or drop it with a beacon close to shore or with a runner nearby

This is a big ship.

I was told about my crew by Colombians I knew who I carried cement for out of Barranquilla to St Martin....And Rio Haina

Word gets around

Nothing new.
Had a friend was the local city PD diver - whenever a banana ship would dock in the harbor they had to examine the hull. Back in the 80's/90's.

Alls you need to know is where and when the ship will be where you need it to be. No assoc with the ship whatsoever. Divers at both ends, the ship never knows and Bob’s your uncle.

It was the second time that cocaine has been found in the Hispania Spirit's rudder trunk...
That's just a weird coincidence.

The cartel needs to rethink its bribery schedule.

Quit paying the shipping company and start paying the ship’s crew.

They probably are paying neither, and the jokers responsible for sticking the coke to the boat have only been caught twice.

back in the 70’s 80’s every one was in on it. Wasnt being monitored as it is now. Flying out of CG Miami during that period we looked more for weed. Then we stepped it up a bit and went for the Cigarets at 1 AM.

1987 federal sentencing guidelines is a pretty good reason

Five kilos of coke or more is a level 32

1000 kilos of ganj is a level 32

Back in the 80s a pound of weed was 50 US in Westmorelamd JA loaded and fetched 500-800 a pound by the ton consigned to a trustworthy wholesaler in say Rural Georgia or North Carolina

Not too shabby for identical risk

However smuggling weed North coast South America or JA or Belize north to SE USA coast or Gulf became untenable risk by 1990 in my opinion

Level 32 is ten years and as you know Feds are 54 days good time per year

85 percent to serve

Now Mexico owns the dope trade pretty much it seems
