Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., blasted the justice system amid reports actress Felicity Huffman may get a lighter prison sentence for her part in the college admissions bribery scam.
Huffman, 56, agreed earlier this month that she will plead guilty to one count of conspiracy and fraud for paying a consultant $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation to boost her daughter’s SAT score.

The thing is, once you lay out this whole story, around two-thirds of people (doesn’t matter if you are Democrat or Republican) think that Huffman and her crowd ought to do real prison time (suggesting a minimum of one year in prison at the least). I don’t even think this is a right-versus-left issue any longer. Most people just think there was some serious ethical things violated.

You can’t pay a bribe to an innocent party or parties. They all should have adjoining cells. And he’ll yeah prison time. Do the crime, do the time.

I agree, this really does transcend politics. And it is surely the tip of the iceberg in regards to corrupt admission practices. Everybody turned down or limited on college choices can now get payback. Throw them all in jail, and root out other corrupt practices.

let's not lose focus on the rant here !
It's all about HER version of justice.
Punishment is required. However, I’d rather they put assaulters and murderers in prison and that the rest make appropriate restitution. Huffman, et al, should have to pay for those who were qualified but unable to get in because the slots were filled by the fraudsters’ offspring. At least some good could come of their elitism.
What is happening to those who took the bribes? I’m not hearing much about them. No names or shame for them, it would seem so far.
I think the Democrats should back off this subject it has the potential to blow back on them and expose something that they would rather keep buried.
