Howdy, Kathy.
It’s Hump Day!
Sanity still intact? :-)
Good evening, Mooch...are you enjoying Passover?
Is your weather being nice? We’ve been having snow every night and high 30s and low 40s in the daytime.
A friend and I spent about 5 weeks driving...started in Cairns and down to Melbourne. Then Tasmania and back up to Alice Springs. Fly to Perth and back to Sydney and on to New Zealand for a couple weeks. A trip of a lifetime.
Howdy, PRO.
Still enjoying beautiful shorts weather?
It looks like it might FINALLY be here to stay. No chilly weather in store for the next week any way.
Good evening, radu...has nice weather returned?
It was almost white out conditions when I left work last night and nary a drop of rain or flake of snow after about 2 blocks of travel towards home.
Off for home now.
April 25th is Anzac Day, a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served". ~Wikipedia In Remembrance |
Yes, we’ve had beautiful weather the past few days but tomorrow looks to be wet and a little stormy. Thankfully the key word is “wet”. Not white and fluffy like you’re dealing with. When I checked the radar a little earlier to see what’s headed this way, I checked your neck o’ the woods, too, and saw you have more on the way. Maybe the brunt will miss you.
Howdy, radu! Hope you had more pretty weather today. I know how tired you are of wet cold days and nights.
We had rain all morning and it was cool and calm. Perfect spring day. The yard and flowers look so nice now. And the pollen count is down. Yay!
Long pants in the morning and then the shorts get put on around noon.
Nice weather here but not too warm yet.
WOO-HOO if your Spring weather is getting better!
Are the crops all planted?
WOOHOO for that rain! How much was the final tally?
That system is working it’s way here and we’ll have showers and maybe some thunderstorms off and on all day tomorrow.
It’s been really nice the past few days, except for the pollen count. It’s been really high. But that’s part of Spring and I’ll take it over cold weather ANY day. LOL
Sounds a lot like our weather. A little cool overnight and in the early morning, then heating up nicely. We’ve hit 80 the past three days.
Rain tomorrow and we’ll cool down into the mid 70s for a couple of days but that’s still plenty comfy.
The corn was planted when they sprayed the rye to kill it. They were going to come back to plow it under before the seed sprouted but it rained heavily. Then kept raining again and again before the ground could dry out. So the corn is coming up among the dead rye but it’ll be ok. Just doesn’t get the benefit of the rye as fertilizer this year.
Sanity is not too bad....checks took some extra time, but finally done.
Now some homework.
It was wonderful, and it was almost one and a half inches. it was mostly a slow rain so it will soak in and do a lot of good. I love how clean the air is right now.
I hope the storms you get don’t become too violent or the rain too much. Your area is already waterlogged and doesn’t need more on top of what you’ve already had.
I was going to wash the kitties’ bedding the other day, but glad I didn’t. They need the bankies and warm spots for the bit of chill that’s in the air tonight. I’ll do it next week when the temps are back into the 80s.
Luv...you finally got rain!!! Hurrah for you!!
That rye will become mulch where it sits and will still benefit the corn to a certain extent. Or at least that’s MY theory. LOL!
I hope you don’t have too much homework to deal with.
Is your brother still there? Doing a good job of knocking off things on The List?
Great! If you got almost one and a half inches of soaking rain today, that will help a lot. It’s been a loooooooong time since you got that much at once.
They haven’t said a word about severe storms coming through so it sounds like we’ll get through ok. I do hope for a nice “light show” or two out of it. LOL It’s been a while since I got a good lightning pic.
But we really don’t need rain right now. The soil is still moist on the surface so we’re still fully saturated.
Don’t have to worry about the well running dry any time soon, I reckon.
You’ve been quite a bit cooler than we have so I imagine your nights are pretty nippy. Your kittehs probably don’t care a bit if their bedding hasn’t been washed just yet. They’re happy with the warmth. :-)
Yeah, it’ll help a little bit but not as much as if it had been turned under. The corn looks pretty good right now with all the rain we’ve had. Corn loves water.
We just hope the spigot doesn’t get shut off this summer. It’s happened before and it hurt the yield.
