Actually this is one instance wherein a politician under investigation was telling the truth pretty much in total...it was the media and the "experts" and prominent politicians that were lying. If even a Liberal Media poll can’t get a majority to support impeaching President Trump, there must not be majority support for it even by rank-and-file Democrats.

Liberal polls are designed to shape public opinion. Impeachment hearings would be disastrous for Democrats, so this is designed to scare them off of that idea. Keeping his poll numbers artificially low serves to reinforce this point (“no need to impeach him - beating him at the ballot box is going to be a layup”).
