House Panel Allots $50M to Study Gun Violence

On Monday, the Democrat controlled House Committee on Appropriations allocated $50 million more for Public Health research. These medical professionals try applying the tools that they developed for disease to study crime, accidental death, and suicide.

Despite these claims, the much reviled Dickey Amendment never actually forbade research funded by the Centers for Disease Control. It simply stated: “None of the funds made available for injury prevention and control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may be used to advocate or promote gun control.” The Amendment came in response to top CDC officials advocating various gun control laws, such as prohibiting people from carrying concealed handguns.

Hey, shouldn't that fall under the fraud, waste, abuse category? And surely nobody will use the resutling fluffed up data to advocate or promote gun control. Right? So, I didn't look far enough to see who's doing it. Johns Hopkins docs against glocks study group?

I guess this money will go to “Mom’s demand” and “Every town”.....to “study” gun violence that will conclude only innocent people need to be stripped of their rights. We have well over 5000 gun laws in this country, 460 pages of ATF laws and numerous Federal laws. More waste of time with the ultimate goal, brain wash and disarm society.

They’ll spend 50 million but there’s no doubt they could write their report with all their conclusions tomorrow.

If they don't study Chicago, then what's the point?

Nope, it’s $50M to a bunch of liberals who will funnel 25% of it back to Democrat candidates! It’s designed to be another entitlement program for wealthy libs.

—all they need to do is take a look at the FBI crime report and the pie chart about halfway down on this link to see all there is to know about “gun violence”-—

Maybe they should study gun gender dysphoria while they’re at it.

The alleged researchers would likely be already in on the con, and the (cough, cough) conclusions have likely already been written.

To wit---

"It was worse than anybody thought..."

BTW, the real research has been, and is being already done by Dr. John Lott and the Crime Prevention Research Center.

(And the Dems know this.)

Hasn’t the CDC already done at least 1 (or 2 or 3) of these studies?
Hasn’t it already been determined that the “guns =violence=bad” stats are skewed by suicides & self defense?

Guns are not violent. Guns are a tool. People can be violent. They should study why some people are violent. The answer is 60 years of liberal policies.
