House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on Friday gave Attorney General Bill Barr an ultimatum — comply with the “counter offer” or the committee will move forward with contempt of Congress.
“The committee is prepared to make every realistic effort to reach an accommodation with the department,” Nadler wrote in a letter to Bill Barr on Friday. “But if the department persists in its baseless refusal to comply with a validly issued subpoena, the committee will move to contempt proceedings and seek further legal recourse.”
Nadler gave the Justice Department a 9 AM Monday deadline to comply with the committee’s new offer, which includes allowing more members of Congress to look at a less-redacted version of Mueller’s report. Nadler also wants Barr to seek a court order to grant lawmakers the right to view the underlying grand jury material — Barr blocked the grand jury material from the public and Congress to protect innocent people who have not been indicted.
Under special counsel rules, Attorney General Bill Barr didn’t even need to release Mueller’s report to the public or to Congress. The unredacted version of the report is in a SCIF [Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility] for certain lawmakers to view, however, only two lawmakers have actually viewed the less-redacted version of the report.

I’m sure Barr is quaking in his boots...just like Holder.
The issue is that Nadler wants the classified stuff our where it can be read, misquoted, and distorted by staff lawyers.

And didn’t he give congress the finger in response?
Nadler and company want Barr to do the only reasonable thing and not agree to their illegal demands - that way they can howl that he obviously has something to hide and has gone “rogue”...

Okay. So AG Barr will laugh it off just like AG Eric Holder did. In this case, it’s a righteous laugh.
Nadler wants Barr held in contempt for not being able to see pieces of the report that is readily available to Nadler, yet Nadler refuses to review those pieces.
Nadler wants Grand Jury data he is not entitled to see, and is demanding that Barr break the law to reveal that data to Nadler.
So, is Nadler suborning Barr to break the law, and isn't THAT the real crime here?

No doubt those boys were raised right. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Opie, Leon, Thelma Lou and Ellie are the only ones left.....
Barr needs our prayers because he’s dealing with a den of demons.

They made some great programming back then. Mayberry RFD, Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beever, Gleason... and others.
Two of my favorite shows to follow were Wild Wild West and Star Trek. For several years those were great shows.
Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Ted Mack and His Amateur Hour, Ed Sullivan, What’s My Line, To Tell the Truth...
I know there are many more.
The trash they put out today isn’t worthy of lining the litter box, if it was tangible.
There are some decent shows, but not many.
When I left cable there just wasn’t anything at all holding me back. It’s sad that one perhaps two generations have no idea what decent programming is.
We’ve had DishNetwork for 20 years. We now have MeTV that shows all of these old shows......Wild Wild West comes on this evening at 5 come to think of it. There are a few that show all the old 70’s and 80’s too. Sure brings back memories. I had forgotten how funny some of them were but then on the other hand some we thought were so funny as kids are really cheesy now that we’re old as dirt....lol
