This became my theme song when my mother moved to an assisted living facility.

It was only like 1/10th of an inch, but it was wonderful while it lasted. It won’t evaporate too fast because it’s been so cool.
I’m glat y’all missed all the drama, too! I haven’t seen the chasers on line all day today. I guess they have a few hours off anyway. LOL!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
HAROLD ARLEN
THE WIZARD OF OZ: OVER THE RAINBOW
Baby Boomers will remember this version from 1960. The arrangement turns it into a 6/8 time signature Fifties slow dance tempo.

Every little bit helps! Nice that you got a cool-down with it as well. It has to be a relief for everyone, especially da kittehs.
I was glad to see the chasers were out anywhere today. That means everyone got a much-needed break from the horrible weather. It’s been a rough week for a lot of folks.
They say there’s a slight chance for rough weather for us tomorrow afternoon but they didn’t mention tornados. Just that severe storms could crop up. I just hope none crop up when I have to drive down that twisty mountain road coming home from the museum.

Yikes! I hope the severe stuff misses you, too. Mountain roads are scary enough without it being stormy!
The kittehs weren’t too happy about being wet as they ate, but I tried to get the dishes in the driest spots on the patio. They hustled off to their warm spots as soon as they could. LOL!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
HAROLD ARLEN
THE WIZARD OF OZ: OVER THE RAINBOW
The measure of a song is how it can be adapted to jazz. This is Chet in 1962. He moved to Amsterdam to be more at home with his drug demons who eventually devoured him in 1988.
