Prayer request for my Surgery May 23, 2019

I am requesting Prayers from my FReeper Friends. I am 84 YO and experienced a 10 minute Verbal Lapse on Good Friday. Diagnosed as a 75 % blockage in Left Carotid Artery bifircation. Right at 30%. Physically Normal but Anxious! Surgery will be 1 PM May 23.

You’ve got a few years on my Mom, but she went thru that same operation with flying colors in her 70’s. Had major blockage.

My lady friend who at the time was about eighty three had it done and she came through just fine and she still swims with me every day. I believe the doctor blocked the affected artery on either side first to prevent any migration from the material to be removed, then cleaned out whatever had accumulated an then closed it off. I think you should be fine, but as with any surgery a prayer never hurts and you certainly have mine. Take care my friend and best wishes.
